From December 13-16,2022 we completed the Promoting Teenage Education project held in Salayea Town, Salayea District Lofa County.

50 teenage female students benefited from this program directly.

Participants were trained in the areas of Teenage Pregnancy and its effects, How to prevent Teenage Pregnancy and early childbearing, Exploring opportunities, finding solution to problems the affect the future of an individual, Sexual and Reproductive health for young people and etc.

The goal of this project is to eradicate teenage pregnancy and early childbearing though promoting female education.

Support for this program was provided by the YES Alumni Grant program funded by the US Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs And implemented by Global Transformer GT-Liberia through the YES Alumni Corps of Liberia.

Participants of this Project were taught the following;
-Public Speaking
-Writing and its kind/Creative and Academic Writing
-Writing Letters
-Writing Speeches
-Presentation and Strategies
-Reading and Comprehension
-Strategies for successful pass in public test
-WASSCE/WAEC Grading method and etc.

60 students benefited directly from this project

In fulfillment of our promises in making Liberia a better place by educating and building the capacity of our youths across the country ( Liberia ), we came to the end of the PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH NETWORKING WILL ENHANCE LEARNING IN LIBERIA (PEN WELL) PROJECT yesterday in Bopolu City, Gbarpolu County-Liberia.

PEN WELL is a program designed to built the capacity of students to prepare them for the National English Exam

Some of the topics taught to participants include; Writing Letters, Writing Speeches, Reading and Comprehension, Writing and its types, Public Speaking, Strategies for successful password in public, Presentation and Strategies, WASSCE/WAEC Grading system and etc.

60 students benefited from the project directly with a countless number of indirect beneficiaries in Bopolu City.

Support for this project was provided by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) through American Councils for International Education and the K-L YES Alumni Grant Program

Part of our efforts in reducing the rate of Teenage Pregnancy and Early Childbearing, that is on a higher level in rural areas in Liberia, our recruitment team was in Salayea Town, Salayea District , Lofa County to meet with school administrators for the distribution of letters for the "Promoting Teenage Education" Project.

The "Promoting Teenage Education" Project is a program design and implemented by GLOBAL TRANSFORMERS-LIBERIA with support provided in-part by the K-L YES Alumni grant department with funding from the US Department of States, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and administered by American Councils for International Education with direct supervision from YES Alumna Garmai Gayflor as the grant Awardee.

Teenage pregnancy and early child bearing is increasing daily, it can be recorded that the ratio of teenage pregnancy in the urban areas as compared to the rural areas is 24:42 respectively.

In this light, our team will be conducting a four (4) days workshop on the importance of education and the prevention of Teenage Pregnancy and Early Child Bearing in Salayea Town, Salayea District, Lofa County-Liberia.

50 Teenage girls from Salayea and it surround villages will benefit from this project directly with a countless number of indirect beneficiaries.
