Strengthening Educational Partnerships for the Next Generation of Young Diplomats

COYASOR’s Executive Director Amos F. Samuka and Partnership Liaison Officer Abenetta Kollie held a fruitful acquaintance meeting with the new Director of QSI American International School of Monrovia (AISM), marking another important step in strengthening the partnership between the two institutions.

The engagement provided an opportunity to reflect on the growing impact of the Thinkers Youth Summit Model United Nations (TYSMUN) in developing young people’s leadership, diplomacy, negotiation, and global citizenship skills. Discussions also looked ahead to TYSMUN 2027, including preliminary logistical considerations and opportunities for continued collaboration.

As TYSMUN continues to grow, COYASOR remains committed to building strong institutional partnerships that create meaningful platforms for young people to learn, lead, negotiate, and engage with global issues.

A late reflection, but some moments deserve to be honored beyond the calendar.

On the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, we celebrate the remarkable women who continue to shape the spirit, vision, and success of the Thinkers Youth Summit Model United Nations (TYSMUN).

Behind every meaningful dialogue, every carefully crafted session, every young delegate empowered, and every idea transformed into action, there are women whose dedication, intelligence, and leadership have quietly moved the mission forward.

They are organizers, thinkers, diplomats, mentors, strategists, and builders of a new generation of global citizens.

Through TYSMUN, these women are not only supporting an event. They are creating a space where young people learn the language of diplomacy, understand the responsibility of leadership, and discover the power of peaceful cooperation.

COYASOR, in partnership with the American International School Monrovia, advanced its commitment to “Leave No One Behind” through a community outreach initiative at Garyah Valley Academy (GVA) in Margibi County. The intervention provided essential learning materials to support students’ education and academic development.

As part of the engagement, students participated in a lively mini-debate on shared responsibility in school sanitation, alongside a spelling bee competition designed to strengthen literacy and confidence.

We are pleased to have engaged with GVA students and to continue supporting inclusive, quality education that empowers every child to learn, participate, and thrive.
