The Liberia Early Childhood Development (ECD) Alliance on August 29th & 30th, 2025 conducted an advocacy awareness campaign in Montserrado and Margibi Counties to create visibility of the ECDA and to also support the Government of Liberia commitment to the pledge on ending violence against children by 2030. The campaign engaged community members, government officials, health institutions, local NGOs, faith-based organizations, and educational institutions in discussions on child protection. As part of the program, participants signed a Letter of Commitment, and a total of 80 persons pledged their support to advocate for Liberia’s commitment to the pledge’s implementation on Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) by the stipulated period of time. Birth registration of 100 children were also conducted in collaboration with the ministry of health. This initiative strengthened awareness, encouraged collective action, and built partnerships, marking an important step toward ending violence against children in Liberia. At the end of the program, there were books distribution carried out by the WE-CARE library team to participants.
