**Tribute to Amadu Yaya Sow**

We commemorate the legacy of our esteemed colleague, Amadu Yaya Sow, a person of integrity with an unwavering commitment to the principle of truth.

Mr. Sow was not merely a member of our organization; he was a foundational pillar of the Fulani United of Liberia (FUL). His steadfast dedication and commitment were evident throughout his life. In 2017, he played a significant role as a key member of the FUL Constitution Committee, contributing meaningfully to the development of our current constitutional framework. His insights and leadership were critical in establishing a robust foundation for the governance of our organization.

In 2019, Mr. Sow was appointed Vice Chair of the FUL Independent Election Commission, a role of considerable importance during a time when transparency and fairness in elections were essential. He exhibited remarkable leadership in this capacity, guiding the commission with integrity and a vision for a brighter future for our organization. Moreover, he served as the National Education Coordinator for FUL, making substantial progress in enhancing the educational framework within our organization. His initiatives positively affected numerous schools, including the Fulani United community school system in Duala, by improving the quality of education available to our youth.

In August 2025, Mr. Sow's exemplary service was further acknowledged with his appointment as Chairman of the Special Independent Election Commission of FUL. He was scheduled to present the Election Report to the FUL National Board in the forthcoming week, a task that underscored his trusted position within our organization. However, it has now become apparent that a greater plan has been divinely orchestrated, marking the conclusion of his earthly responsibilities.

Prior to assuming these significant roles, Mr. Sow made substantial contributions to the FUL through various positions, including his involvement in both the Sports and Liaison Departments. His diverse skill set and genuine commitment to service made him a valued member within our ranks.

As we reflect on the profound impact Mr. Sow had on our organization, it is evident that we have experienced an immeasurable loss. During this time of mourning, let us unite in prayer for our late colleague, fostering an atmosphere of forgiveness and we encourage all to seek forgiveness on his behalf, honoring his dedication to our community across political, social, and religious dimensions.

We sincerely pray that Almighty Allah forgives any of his shortcomings and grants him a place in Jannah, where he shall attain eternal peace. Ameen.

It is with profound sorrow that I learned this morning of the passing of Mr. Yaya Sow, a valued member of the Board of the Rural and Renewable Energy Agency.

Mr. Sow was not only a dedicated public servant but also a cherished comrade and an ardent supporter of our shared vision for Liberia. He stood as a progressive scholar and a leading voice within the Fula community, where his interventions were always guided by a deep commitment to progress and unity. He was, unequivocally, a frontline fighter for the cause of a better nation.

I have asked the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia to represent the Presidency and the people of Liberia at his funeral rites.

On behalf of my family, the Government, and the people of Liberia, we extend our deepest sympathies to his family, his friends, and the entire Fula community. This is a significant loss for our nation.

May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in perfect peace.
