PUPA Endorses July 17 Protest Organized by STAND — Calls on all Members to Join this noble struggle

The Professionals United to Promote the Pro-Poor Agenda (PUPA) hereby announces its full endorsement of the peaceful protest scheduled for July 17, 2025, organized by the Solidarity and Trust for a New Day (STAND).

This national action represents a critical moment for citizens to speak out against the growing hardship, corruption, and lack of accountability facing our country. As professionals committed to advancing social justice and pro-poor development, we believe it is our duty to stand with the people and demand better governance.

PUPA therefore calls on all of its members, at home and abroad to join the protest and show solidarity with the Liberian masses. Our presence must reflect our collective commitment to a Liberia where transparency, equity, and opportunity are not just promises, but realities.

We urge all protestors to remain peaceful and disciplined, and call on the state security apparatus to uphold the constitutional rights of citizens to assemble and express themselves freely.

Liberia deserves better, and together, we must demand it.

This was one crucial takeaway from President Weah's Special Aid to some outstanding elders and young people in the New Hope Community, Gardnersville Township. Hon. Sekou Kalasco Damaro vowed to continue engaging with the masses irrespective of their tribal, religious, socioeconomic, and political backgrounds.

He made this remark when he honored the invitation from a social forum to assess an ongoing recreational project that he is undertaking. He lauds President Weah for teaching him the importance of being with the people (masses), listening, and transforming lives, and that these are the outstanding traits he will always uphold in his life. Hon.Damaro exhorts them to live in harmony and as single, loving, and just people. He declared that he would always stay in touch and continue to make humanitarian interventions in people's lives, regardless of this election's outcome.
On their part, these exceptional elders and young people of the New Hope community praised the great support, generosity, and humility that Hon. Kalasco has always shown them. They were grateful to him for his numerous endeavors, particularly those in the Gardnerville Belt. They pray that God keeps blessing, guarding, and guiding him and President George Weah.

We use this moment to appreciate Hon. Sekou Kalasco Damaro for the robust engagement with his people. May God Almighty continue to bless and protect him.

The special Aid to President Hon. Sekou Kalasco Damaro Minister Jurah Sanoe and Hon. Musa Sheriff rally the Muslim community for Weah's victory. Speaking to a throng of Muslims after the Friday prayer at the Benson Street Mosque, Special Aid Sekou Kalasco Damaro outlined the many wonderful things the President has done for Islam and the Muslims of Liberia, including the appointment of an Islamic advisor, a significant contribution to hajj program, scholarship opportunities for young people, the building of Islamic schools, the appointment of more Muslims to positions of authority in his administration, etc.

He encouraged them to cast their vote for number 2 on November 14 to give President George Weah a resounding mandate to continue the process of development. He declared that electing President Weah is in the best interests of all Muslims in Liberia and they should be part of this history-making endeavor.

Today, the Liberia Fisher Folks United for the Re-election of H.E. George Weah (LFFU), an organization of fishermen and fish sellers, formally endorsed the re-election bid of president Weah.This group which is in charge of thousands of workers in the fishery sector came out in their mass today at King Gray Beach to be part of history making .

The group chairman, Mr. Jerry N. Blamo, addressed thousands of people at the endorsement presentation and stated that their choice was based on the various development projects Liberia has undergone throughout the first six years of President Weah's administration.

The WASSE fee payment, free post-secondary public education, improved road and electricity connectivity, building of schools and hospitals, but most importantly, the priotization of the fishery industry—providing fishing nets, life jackets, motorboats, loans for women and fishermen, etc.—were some of the reasons.

Following the endorsement, Mr. Del-Francis Wreh, Executive Director of the Liberia Macroeconomic Policy Analysis Center (LIMPAC), expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of fishers-folks United for their unwavering support of the President's leadership. He assure them of the President unwavering support to the sector. As they did in 2017 and the first round of 2023, he also urged them to turn out in large numbers on November 14, 2023 to decisively reelect the President.
