A way to contribute to Liberia's education procedures, the team of a nonprofit group "Empowerment Network Liberia" hosted a day Career Conference themed: Be You.
The Career-day Conference helped students receive general viewpoints on diverse career opportunities and provided pieces of advice for young aspiring students who may have doubts about their career paths.

Augustine K. Kou, CEO of Payless Cloth Pad Manufacturing Co., and Wainwright Acquoi, CEO of TRIBE Liberia were the keynote speakers as both gave their experiences on Entrepreneurship and Leadership in general.
St. Michael Catholic High, Jimmy Jolocon High School, Woriebie Academy, and Henri Wilmot Denis were the schools represented to participate in the conference. Thanks to all our facilitators, schools, ENL team, and all supporters especially John Kizzel for bringing out the success of this program.

The ENL aims at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

WE ARE NOT FOR PROFIT

The Empowerment Network Liberia was founded October 7, 2018. It is a local community youth group, founded within Iron Factory, Gardnersville,Liberia, West Africa. It’s Founder and Director is Emment Kou.

The ENL is a nonprofit youth group, we voluntarily give ourselves to this initiative in order to see that less fortunate Liberians lives are improve. Our mission is to help reduce hunger and promote quality education in Liberia as to achieve the vision inline with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have understood that Liberia is a food-deficit nation, a report from the World Food Program says that Liberia population is about 4.5 million, 83% of people live on less than US$1.25 a day and 16% of families are food insecure. Our newly born children still suffer from malnutrition which has led to stunting, a report from the UNICEF for children Liberia says, one in three children under the age of 5 are stunted or too short for their age, as a result of not getting nutritious food over a long period of time, and frequent bouts of illness. This puts Liberia on the list of the 21 countries with the highest stunting levels in the world. About half of our population lack quality educations and do not have access to modern school’s materials. In order to help in these ills, the ENL seeks support and look forward to working with governments, donors, youth groups and other partners as we strive-fully work out projects to help reduce hunger and promote quality education in Liberia. We hopeful of seeing a hunger free Liberia and a nation whose education system is advancing.

Thinking the less fortunate.
