Christian Ministers Network Christian Ministers Network Without doubts, youths today have many advantages; but they also face unprecedented challenges.

Contrary to the believe that youths represent only the future, we (at CMN) have witnessed first hand, cases in which they (the youths) have been used as tools in the accomplishment of ills such as: Prostitution, Drugs Trafficking, Violence (war) and other gruesome acts. While it is true that some youths are among the perpetrators of heinous crimes around the world, others are victims of violence,

Poverty, Fractured Families, amongst others. These victims have therefore turned to Steeling, the abuse of Drugs and Alcohol, Prostitution and other unwholesome acts as their perceived or ideal ways of surviving or coping with the pains and frustrations imposed on them by the above mentioned ills. One reason is that mankind is now living during a period of time the Bible calls “The conclusion of the system of things” – Matthew 24:3. The Bible calls this era “The last days” and describes the prevalent social conditions as “Hard to deal with” – 2nd Timothy 3:1. Considering just some of the hard to deal with challenges facing our today’s teens are: increased Isolation, Poverty, Fractured family, Self-destructive behavior- Abuse of Alcohol and Drugs, Pressure for sex, Materialism, Peer pressure, Decision making, Low self esteem, Illiteracy and etc. CMN has therefore been established to address these challenges and help fine suitable solutions thereto. Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give youth the commitment to follow through on path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Through the development of destructive habits, at-risk young people have lost faith in the possibilities that await them if they are successful in putting their lives together. To accomplish this goal, young people must be in a caring, inclusive learning environment that promotes their best effort and reinforces personal respect. CMN is a program that is in direct response to the growing number of young people that are either falling through the psycho-social challenges in life or are already entangled with said challenges. The goal of the program is to identify youths who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the young person to make positive decisions and changes in his/her life.
