Baseline data validation and monitoring visit to Grand Cape Mount County early this week under our Spotlight 2.0 project supported by the European Union & United Nations Development Program (UNDP) was incredible. We listened to our stakeholders giving feedback on the baseline data presented and received assurance of support to the project implementation in the county.
A community driven approach in our work promotes trust, sustainability and ownership.

SHED conducts a two day consultation on the National Human Rights Action Plan (NHRAP) and training on Shadow Reporting at SHED's National Office involving CSOs, Ministry of Justice Protection Division, Women and Children Protection Division of Liberia National Police, MGCSP, Ministry of Labor and other line ministries of the government of Liberia 🇱🇷.
Partnering with the Ministry of Justice to fulfill this key milestone with support from the European Union through our NCIDI Project 🙌👏

SHED was honored to join the German Mission in Liberia in celebrating German Unity Day yesterday.
SHED's Executive Director joined partners and the government of Liberia in reflecting on a deeply valued, ongoing relationship between Germany and Liberia that continues to drive impactful work a cross Liberia.
We also had a wonderful and highly encouraging initial conversation with the new German Ambassador to Liberia, H.E. Carsten Holscher, which highlighted exciting possibilities.

SHED remains profoundly grateful for the continuous interest, support, and partnership from our friends at the German Embassy, German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Welthungerhilfe Liberia as we work together to empower communities and transform lives in our dear nation - Liberia 🇱🇷.

Celebrating Impact and Partnership - SHED ASPIRE Project

Legal literacy training currently ongoing with CSOs of Grand Cape Mount County under SHED Spotlight 2.0 Project funded the European Union through UNDP. The workshop is facilitated by the County Solocitor and the Gender Coordinator of Grand Cape Mount County.

Empowering communities starts with strong institutions!

SHED Liberia hosted a two-day staff retreat that brought together all her staff members from the current counties of implementation. The training started in the organization's head office in Paynesville on Thursday,17th September and ended on SHED FARM yesterday, covering topics including: Core Humanitarian Standards in humanitarian service delivery, Leadership, Assertive Communication, Institutional branding, Success stories documentation, Photo taking in the field - what to be keen about, etc., with day two (2) seeing presentations from Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), NASSCORP, and Insurance Company of Africa (ICA) on tax education, National Social Security scheme information, and medical insurance policies respectively.

At SHED Liberia, we are deeply committed to institutional capacity building to drive lasting change. By strengthening our internal systems, equipping our teams with advanced skills, and refining our operational strategies, we ensure that our programs are more impactful, transparent, and sustainable.

Investing in our capacity means delivering better results for the communities we serve. Together, we are building a resilient foundation for a brighter future ✨️ 🙌

It was a wonderful time of learning, sharing, reflecting and team building❤️.

We're glad to showcase great gains made by SHED BMZ Project supported farmers in B**g County. These are products from one farming group (Borbor King Village in Salala District) out of 25 groups, in four (4) districts the project is engaged with in the County.
Cheers to our B**g County Coordinator and the entire program team for their commitment to supporting our farmers in a pragmatic way. The results are clear - more yields, healthier families, great post harvest management, more income etc.
The VSLA disbursement in December will have individuals and group farmers going home with smiles.
Smooth collaboration with our partners WHH and BMZ keep yielding profitable results at the community level.
Making our congratulation to Liberia feed yourself agenda.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture, R.L., for recommending SHED to the conveners of the recently concluded Africa Food System Forum in Kigali, Rwanda, as a valuable private sector partner in agricultural production in Liberia.
The forum was an exceptional platform for learning, sharing, networking, and partnership building. It provided us with a valuable opportunity for a week-long engagement with key investors and vital actors in our continent"s food system - covering critical areas such as food system policies, production, processing, packaging, trade, associated economic benefits, health, and nutrition.
Genuine interest and collaboration are key to tackling the issues that we're working to address. We're stronger together 💪.
