Contributing to changing the odds through service!!
Yesteday was an incredible day participating in the Global Hunger Index Report 2025 launch by Concern Worldwide and Welthungerhilfe at the Monrovia City Hall with images from SHED's project winning the front cover of the WHH annual report and the GHI launching banner.

We were also proud that selected participants from our food and nutrition security project funded by BMZ & WHH (women of B**g county), were invited to participate in the event.
Myriad appreciation to our food security proggramme donors - BMZ, WHH, CWW and CAFOD for believing in the localization agenda that we're excited to be one of its shining champions ๐Ÿ†.

All thanks to SHED Liberia programme and support teams for always going above and beyond in quality program delivery to our vulnerable communities ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.

Business Development Skills training continues in Gborgbor and Dolo's Town this week in Todee District, lower Montserrado county as part of the last cohort of the BMZ & WHH funded Orange Fleshed Sweet Potatoes & Vegetable production project being implemented in four (4) counties of Liberia (B**g, Margibi, Montserrado & Grand Bassa)๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ท.

As we're making progress with awareness raising on the production and consumption of the OFSP in Liberia through jingles and other public engagement activities, this final cohort will have improved market access and fair pricing opportunity for their farm products and experience massive economic gains๐Ÿ‘.

Thanks to our committed Business Development Officers who are navigating these far to reach communities.

Event marking the celebration of St. Brigid's Day honoring one of Ireland patron saints at the Embassy of Ireland yesterday brought together cross-section of women from civil society organizations partnering with Irish Aid in Liberia.

H.E. Gerald Considine the current Ambassador of Ireland to Liberia and his team used to occasion to extend gratitude to the women at the event and their organizations for extending the Irish Aid Liberia initiatives to the communities we serve; knowledging the same courage, creativity, leadership, and innovation that St. Brigid Day celebrates. In recognition of our work, our organization logos were pinned by each of us on a symbolic Irish green fabric to remain visible at the Embassy. This part that came as a pleasant surprise was really emotional๐Ÿ‘Œ. SHED's logo is there.

It was another awesome day of reflection on how the contributions of progressive women have driven significant, positive change in society and across generations.
Thanks Ambassador Gerald and Irish Aid Liberia team. It was a good time.

Planning is necessary at all levels to align daily operations with our institution's long-term strategic goals, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated, and teams remain focused, productive, and accountable.
Cheers to our hard working teams from the different departments of our work as we prepare to serve more communities this year๐Ÿ™Œ.

In the effort of empowering the dreams of our farmers, SHED Agriculture department launched an agro processing training for oange Fleshed Sweet Potatoe๐Ÿฅ” farmers recently. This training marks a step ahead for the farmers in OFSP production as they'll have opportunity to sell processed products, using less labor to generate more income.
The farmers who benefited from the initial training were from B**g and Montserrado counties.
Value addition is our goal ๐Ÿ™Œ
This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation (BMZ) and the Welthungerhilfe (wHH).
