YAL-empowering youth, serving humanity We educate, empower and elevate Liberian youth. YAL is a youth development and social enterprise established in 2012 and accredited in 2013.

YAL is devoted to engaging, empowering and elevating young people to lead and excel. YAL exists purposely for youth development and creating empowerment and result driven opportunities for young people and as well increase young people skills through education, enterpreneurship and employability programs.

CARE4HEPB PROJECT KICKSTARTED.
On January 16, our team embarked on Phase1 through a 2-day capacity building training workshop under the Community Awareness Raising and Engagement for Hepatitis B Elimination (CARE4HEPB) Project.
The workshop brought together 25 caregivers and peer navigators engaged in Hepatitis service delivery in Montserrado.
Thanks to our partners and donors, Hepatitis B Foundation and African Hepatitis B Advocacy Coalition (ABAC) through the ABAC Catalyst Grants.
We're empowering caregivers and cascading results through HepB service delivery in Liberia.

YAL@NATIONAL CLIMATE JUSTICE SUMMIT 2025
We are excited to be represented by Christoyce L. Johnson, one of our dedicated admin/ program staff at this year National Climate Justice Summit organized by Actionaid Liberia and partners.
For the next three days, we'll learn, unlearn and relearn about climate justice and resilience actions for youth inclusion and women led actions in climate governance in Liberia.

Today, our teams are engaged in communities and medical facilities accelerating knowledge on Hepatitis Viral education, Testing and Referral Mechanisms for population in Montserrado County commemoration of the World Hepatitis Testing Week.
The initiative is funded by the World Hepatitis Alliance and NOhep under the NOhep Mums In-Country Program in Liberia.

NOhep4BIGBELLY Project Kicks Off in Liberia.
Today, our team began an immersive Capacity Building Workshop for Caregivers on Hepatitis B in Pregnancy. Over 25 caregivers and health practitioners were recruited from health facilities across Montserrado County. Held under the theme "Accelerating Access to Antenatal Testing for Hep B in Pregnancy", the workshop has enhanced selected caregivers' knowledge for increase health outcomes in Hep B Service Delivery.
Thanks to dedicated donors and funders, World Hepatitis Alliance and NOhep for funding us to strengthen and impact local health systems.

For 5 days now, our team along with several civil society organizations have been engaged in an intensive agile capacity building training in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. The training covers project management, financial and resource management, governance and etc.

TOYCE@BREAKING DOWN BARRIERRS!

We're excited to share that Christoyce L. Johnson, an incredible member of our team is departing Liberia today to participate in the , an intensive one-week youth capacity strengthening program for health advocates.
Competitively selected among hundreds of fellow champions from Africa, Toyce will represent our institution and the country in general in Lagos, Nigeria form June 16-20, 2025.
As a Cascade Officer for HIV, TB & Malaria and a Focus Person at YAL, Toyce will participate and elevate her voice during the event for youth inclusion in the fight against HIV, TB and Malaria prevalence in Liberia.
We remained grateful to our funders and partners, Thomson Reuters Foundation, The Global Fund and for the support.

YouthAid-Liberia (YAL) is a national youth led platform and youth focused organization working with young people of Liberia irrespective of educational, religious, political, cultural and economic statuses by inspiring, motivating and empowering their leadership capacities. YouthAid-Liberia was established by passionate young humanitarians on Mach 3, 2012 and accredited on June 12, 2013 by the Ministry of Planning & Economics Affairs (now Ministry of Finance & Development Planning) and on July 22, 2013, YAL was also accredited by the Ministry of Youth & Sports to operate as youth led organization.
