2024 German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarship

The Liberian Government, in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), is pleased to announce graduate scholarships for Liberian scholars to pursue advanced studies at German universities for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This prestigious opportunity is available for various disciplines.

Application Process and Requirements

Required Documents

Successful applicants must submit the following documents to the Division of Scholarships, Ministry of Education, for vetting and validation:

1. Notarized Photocopies of Transcript: Minimum GPA of 3.0.
2. Notarized Photocopies of Degree Certificate.
3. Photocopies of Birth Certificate.
4. Photocopies of Passport: ECOWAS-Liberian Biometric Passport valid for at least five years.
5. Medical Certificate: Valid medical certificate, preferably from Jorkpen Town Medical Lab (located opposite Don Bosco High School, 8th Street, Sinkor).
6. Passport Size Photos: Six recent identical photos with a white background. The full name and nationality of the candidate should be written at the back of each photo.
7. Statement of Intent: This should include academic background/achievements, reasons for the chosen field of study, potential to succeed, and how the degree will contribute to Liberia’s development.
8. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Must include phone number and email address.
9. Two Letters of Recommendation : One professional and one academic.
10. Recent Police Clearance.

SIDIA-Liberia Inc. is accepting well motivated team-players to serve as volunteer social workers from the following professional backgrounds/qualifications:

1. A graduate or prospective 2024 graduate from a recognized college/university with major in Accounting to serve as our Administrative-Finance Officer. We will also accept a 2024 prospective graduate or applicant with a degree majoring either in Management or Public Administration but with minor in Accounting for this post.
She/he should be willing to volunteer and open to at least certificate level training in NGO's Financial & Human Resources Management.

2. A graduate or prospective 2024 graduate from either the Social Sciences, Business, or Education College with basis knowledge in Development Administration/Management to serve as our Programs Officer.
She/he should be willing to volunteer and open to at least certificate level training in NGO's Programs/Projects proposal development, management and reporting.

3. A graduate or prospective 2025 graduate from either the Social Sciences, Information Technology (IT) or Business College with knowledge in Development Research & Communications to serve as our Research, MEAL & Communications Officer.
She/he should be willing to volunteer and open to at least certificate level training in NGO's Programs/Projects' Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) and Impact Stories' Communications knowledge/skills.

4. A Sophomore Student, Junior Student or prospective 2025 graduate with basis knowledge in Project Management and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) to serve as our Programs & MEAL Assistant.
She/he should be willing to volunteer and open to at least certificate level training in NGOs' Projects Management and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL).

5. A Sophomore Student, Junior Student or prospective 2025 graduate with basis knowledge in Office Administration and Human Resources Management to serve as our Administrative-HR Assistant.
She/he should be willing to volunteer and open to at least certificate level training in Advance Computer Skills and NGO's Administrative & Human Resources Management.

6. A Sophomore Student, Junior Student or prospective 2025 graduate with basis knowledge in Procurement & Logistics with basis Computer skills to serve as our Procurement & Logistics Assistant.
She/he should be willing to volunteer and open to at least certificate level training in Advance Computer Skills and NGO's Procurement & Logistics Management.

This is not an employment contract notice. Rather, an invitation to form part of our Volunteer Management Team at SIDIA that will give you a professional development platform in an ideal institutional framework to acquire practical skills and gain requisite job experience for future internal and external job opportunities.

SIDIA-Liberia Inc., a duly registered Liberian CSO cordially request sponsorships from philanthropists and humanitarian individuals/organizations for the below short-course training to enable the organization upgrade the professional skills of five volunteer staff members. We aim to conduct training for one person each in the following categories:
1. QuickBooks: $100 USD

2. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): $125 USD

3. Project Management: $125 USD

4. Strategic Procurement Management: $100 USD

5. Basic & Advance MS Excel: $85 USD
TOTAL: $535 USD

The training will be provided by Alniaboh Liberia Inc in collaboration with QuickBooks Intuit Professionals from the USA. The organization will conduct intensive and hands-on training located in Monrovia with practicals, take home assignments, presentations, and exams spread over four weeks in a month.
