Computers for Schools Liberia

Computers for Schools Liberia Computers for Schools Liberia empower youth and communities for life in the Information Age through establishing ICT infrastructure and capacity building.

Computers for Schools Liberia (CFSL), is a charitable non-governmental organization registered in the year 2015. Our vision is the establishment of an information-rich Liberian Society actively participating in sustainable development. We hope to achieve this by facilitating the development of information and communication technology infrastructure and capacity in educational and training institut

ions as well as community information access and resource access centers. The Board of CFSL is drawn from leading private sector corporations, the Government, and individuals that share the vision and feel the urgency of the work at hand. It is managed on a day to day basis by the Executive Director, Deputy Director and Sectional Officers responsible for different aspects of its operations. We operate the region’s only e-Waste Management Centre. Though a significant portion of our budget is met from charitable donations from various partners, we are increasingly self-sustaining by undertaking major information and communication technology projects for paying clients – the proceeds from such work then being used to fund our charitable operations. Our Technical Teams, made up of highly trained diligent ICT Professionals with varied specializations, have been numerously proven competent and capable – delivering projects on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction. CFSL is a partnership of communities, private sector corporations, civil society organizations, and international charities and development partners working together for the long-term good of the nation.

Our Story

Computers for Schools Liberia (CFSL), is a charitable non-governmental organization registered in the year 2015.

We collect old computers, refurbish them and distribute them to schools in Liberia. Our mission is to transform lives through access to and improved use of e-Learning technology. In Liberia we work in support projects in a number of other Counties.

In Liberia we support vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals from varying backgrounds through our Community Programmers, primarily in Grade Schools and provide pathways into education, training and employment.

Our vision is the establishment of an information-rich Liberian Society actively participating in sustainable development. We hope to achieve this by facilitating the development of information and communication technology infrastructure and capacity in educational and training institutions as well as community information access and resource access centers.
