Like positive societal change, leadership is not built in a single day. It grows through dialogue, learning, and the courage to participate.

These moments capture more than just another event, they recall young women asking questions, sharing experiences, and exploring what leadership means within their schools, communities, and beyond.

At Accountability Lab Liberia, we believe that good governance must involve women at all stages, and investing in girls' leadership today helps build stronger, more inclusive communities tomorrow.

These efforts aim to ensure that lessons learned are effectively integrated into our planning and ex*****on processes, ultimately enhancing the project's overall impact on increasing social accountability and transparency in Liberia.

Women have long played an essential role in strengthening their communities, yet many continue to face barriers to participating in leadership and decision-making.

Through the National Endowment for Democracy (NED)-supported initiative, women in western Liberia are gaining the confidence, knowledge, and motivation to take on leadership roles and actively participate in civic life.

Their stories remind us that meaningful change begins when people are empowered with the information and opportunity to lead.
