MEET AND GREET:TAKING LNA TO THE PEOPLE.

Over the past few days, the leadership embarked on a fruitful meet, greet and see tour of major health facilities within Montserrado County-JFK, Redemption and JDJ. An exercise expected to go across the Country.

On this note, the leadership would like to cease this opportunity to express heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering dedication and exceptional efforts of nurses working across our major healthcare facilities and all facilities across the Nation. Their commitment to delivering high-quality care, particularly during challenging times, underscores their crucial role in our healthcare system.

It is their compassion, expertise, and resilience that ensure our communities receive the best possible support and care.

The leadership would also like to commend our national government through the MOH for the significant renovation and modernizations efforts that are ongoing in almost all facilities visited within our healthcare infrastructure.

These improvements are vital in creating environments conducive to effective patient care and in equipping our healthcare professionals with the tools they need to succeed. The enhancements in facilities not only bolster our healthcare system but also demonstrate a commitment to advancing public health and improving the quality of life for all citizens.

However, while we celebrate these achievements, it is crucial to acknowledge that the backbone of these improvements lies in the hands of our nurses.
Their contributions remain invaluable, and it is essential that we ensure they are adequately supported in their roles.

Throughout the visitations, One of the most pressing concerns is the need for improved salaries and better livelihood opportunities for nurses.

Despite the advancements in infrastructure, the financial compensation for nurses has not kept pace with the demands of their profession. Many face challenges that can be alleviated through fair remuneration and benefits.

As leadership, our advocacy will be tailored in said direction until every single Nurse feels valued, recognized and appreciated through appreciable salary.
We believe by addressing these concerns, the government would not only enhance the well-being of nurses but also promote a more motivated and efficient workforce, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes across the board.

We appeal to the government to prioritize this issue and engage in constructive dialogue with nursing representatives to address salary disparities and enhance livelihood conditions.

On the most talk about "TOP-UP" announced by the finance ministry last year December, we are gathering all findings in order to authenticate the full implementations of said policy.

Recognizing the efforts of Nurses through improved compensation would send a strong message of appreciation and recognition, fostering a supportive environment for our healthcare heroes.

Together, we must all work to improve every Nurse's livelihood in order to stimulate productivity, motivated and adequate service delivery.

shall never be the same again.

NURSES EVERYWHERE WHETHER PRIVATE OR PUBLIC FACILITY DESERVES BETTER.

The Liberian Nurses Association attention has been drawn to recent situations involving Nurses working at the ELWA hospital.

‎Allegedly, Nurses at the ELWA hospital are being under pay and faced humiliations and toxic work environment, these crimes doesn't only undermine good work ethics but set the basics for bad labor practice, further undermines professionalism.

In view of such in human treatment, the President of the Liberian Nurses Association,Madam Edith C. Railey-Tellewoyan has set up a high power delegation led by the VPA and other staff members of the leadership to initiate interventions and work with the administration of ELWA to bring the situation to peaceful resolution.

Nurses should not have to be punished for saving lives and serving humanity.

LNA will hit the grounds of the ELWA hospital tomorrow morning to ensure Nurses are given due recognition and entitlement they deserve.

‎Signed:
‎LnA leadership.
