AYF Liberia Welcomed UN Peacebuilding Commission Chair, Reinforces Youth Leadership in Peacebuilding Agenda.
Monrovia- Liberia : Over the weekend, African Youth Fellowship (AYF) Liberia had the distinct honor of welcoming Her Excellency Madam Nicola Clase, Permanent Representative of Sweden to the United Nations and Chair of the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission Liberia Configuration, on her official visit to Liberia. The visit, led by a Joint United Nations High-Level Delegation including the UN Resident Coordinator, reflects the continued commitment of the United Nations and its partners to strengthening peacebuilding efforts and inclusive development in Liberia.
During the engagement, the Founder of AYF Liberia, Amb. Moses Buwee, extended a warm welcome to Her Excellency and conveyed sincere appreciation to the United Nations for its sustained support to the Youth Promotion Initiative (YPI) Project. He underscored the significant progress made through the project, particularly in enhancing youth participation in the digital space, promoting civic engagement, and amplifying peacebuilding narratives among young people.
Amb. Buwee further emphasized the importance of prioritizing youth as strategic partners in advancing Liberia’s peace and development agenda, while presenting key highlights of AYF’s run for Peace and Youth Assembly. The event was held at CEIO, a implementing partner under the YPI Project.

The visit brought together key UN partners, including UN Women, UNFPA, the UN Peacebuilding Fund, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, reaffirming a collective commitment to collaborative peace building efforts in Liberia.
