The hymn writer says, "Not thy labours of my hands, Can fulfill thy law's demands. Nothing in my hand I bring, Simply to the cross I cling." We are not made just by law, but by faith in Christ.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.- Galatians 3:11

Father, we seek Your understanding that, works of our hands are good, but they cannot save us. Help us to understand that salvation by grace through faith makes our labours acceptable to You, in Jesus' name.

*IN VAIN?*

As we go on in the journey of faith, many things crop up that adversely challenge our salvation. Paul called the Galatians to order, asking who bewitched them. Let's watch it!

Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. - Galatians 3:4

Father, we pray that the situation of our world will not make us to forget the sacrifice of salvation, the journey of faith and the hope of eternity, in Jesus' name.

*THE GRACE OF GOD*

Sometimes, people want to do things in the way they have always done them, even though newer and more effective ways exist to achieve a better result. God's grace makes life better than the law!

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 2:21

Lord, I renounce my righteousness and embrace Yours. I receive Your grace and renounce the mechanical effort to righteousness. Let Your grace speak for me and dwell in me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

*THE IMMUTABLE TRUTH*

When the truth he had struggled to hide came out, he still didn't want to admit it. His grandstanding showed that, for him, his agenda was more important than the truth.

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.- 2 Cor 13:8.

Lord, You are the immutable truth. We ask for grace to embrace You so that through Your Word, we can be set free. Help us to understand that we cannot win the battle against the truth, in Jesus' name.
