Meet Taruway Richard Allen Yanquoi our Executive Director.
He is a devout Christian and a member of the Eliza Turner AME Church. A graduate of the Early Learning Foundation School (ELFS), Monrovia College and Industrial Training School (MC), and the United Methodist University (UMU). At UMU, he majored in general biology and chemistry. He earns multiple professional certificates and diplomas in the areas of Environmental Science, Environmental Management, and Health and Safety Management Systems. A success that he credits to his deity, as well as his single mother's perseverance and hard work.
He is a self-assured individual. He has dedicated a vast portion of his young life to serving his church (AME Church), humanity, the youth and students’ community, and influencing society through selfless volunteerism. He has served in numerous leadership capacities owing to his established trustworthiness and deeds of modesty, honesty, and integrity. For a few: Students Council President, which was afforded him due to his excellent academic performance among his peers during his stay at the Monrovia College and Industrial Training School; president of the Monrovia District Young People’s Department of the AME Church Liberia Annual Conference, where he presided over fifteen (15) churches; volunteer communicator of the Candance Girls Foundation, an institution formed to mentor young Liberian girls; a general community health volunteer of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (RL); president of the Eliza Turner AME Church Young People’s Department; district number eight (8) coordinator of One Liberia, an institution formed to unite young Liberians through academic activities; a health volunteer of the Liberia Medical Mission; co-founder and national director of CharityMile Liberia, an institution form towards helping at-risk youth in Liberia; and the militant brigadier chairman of Team Mukar, a student-based pressure grouping on the campuses of the United Methodist University, involved with student rights advocacy and called for administration transparency and accountability.
He is an aspiring entrepreneur, educator, and a seasoned and experienced Environmental and Social Safeguards Professional (E&S) who is currently serving his country through the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), where he works as an environmental and social safeguards personnel on the African Development Bank-funded projects (AFDB).
In a reformed Liberia, where every citizen may have a sense of belonging and the populace is fundamentally committed to upholding the rule of law, he is passionate and curious about.
