RAYWOM Engages Donor Representative During Stronger Together Project Monitoring Visit

The Radical Young Women Movement (RAYWOM) had a productive engagement with Anna during her monitoring visit to Liberia under the Stronger Together – A Gender Transformative Action Coalition Project (FCP).

The discussion focused on project progress, financial accountability, institutional strengthening, and opportunities to sustain the movement’s work beyond the project period.

RAYWOM shared updates on its ongoing activities, upcoming advocacy engagements, work beyond the FCP, and its continued commitment to advancing young women’s leadership, feminist organizing, and collective action in Liberia.

The engagement also provided an opportunity to discuss the movement’s long-term sustainability, organizational development, and potential opportunities for capacity strengthening.

As RAYWOM continues to grow, we remain committed to building a stronger, more sustainable young women-led movement that champions gender equality, amplifies young women’s voices, and drives meaningful social change.

Together, we are building collective power for a more just and equal society!

Radical Young Women Movement (RAYWOM) is excited to participate in the **Post-Forum Dialogue: The African Mindset Reset Forum
From Pan-Africanism to Meta-Africanism,hosted by the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development, in collaboration with the Young Political Leadership School Africa and other partners.

As a youth-led movement committed to advancing young women’s leadership, civic participation, and inclusive development, we look forward to engaging in meaningful conversations on how Africa can move beyond traditional ideals toward a future driven by collaboration, innovation, and collective progress.

We believe that transforming Africa begins with rethinking our perspectives, strengthening partnerships, and creating opportunities for young people especially young women to contribute to shaping the continent’s future.

🌍Young Women Leading, Learning, and Making an Impact!

At Radical Young Women Movement (RAYWOM), we celebrate the energy, professionalism, and impact of women leaders across different sectors.

We proudly celebrate Joy Chichi Onos, whose leadership and participation in the iPRIS Project’s African peer-to-peer exchange in Nairobi, Kenya, reflect the importance of young women taking up space, sharing knowledge, and contributing to meaningful change. 🇱🇷👏🏽

The exchange brought together telecommunications regulators and experts from across Africa and Europe to discuss spectrum management, affordable connectivity, digital inclusion, and emerging technologies.

Experiences like this remind us that when young women step into leadership spaces, they bring valuable perspectives, learn from others, and contribute to solutions that strengthen institutions and communities.

At RAYWOM, we remain committed to empowering young women to lead with confidence, professionalism, and purpose across every sector.

🇱🇷 STRENGTHENING GENDER EQUALITY IN LIBERIA’S DEFENSE SECTOR

We are proud to join the process as a partner to announce a new partnership between the Feminist Coalition, with medica Liberia as its lead representative, and the Ministry of National Defense-Liberia to support the review and revision of the Ministry’s Gender Policy.

This collaboration is being implemented under the StrongerTogether which Radical Young Women Movement is a partner, A_Gender_Transformative_Action_Coalition Project, bringing together feminist expertise, civil society leadership, and institutional commitment to advance:

✨ Gender equality and women’s meaningful participation
✨ Women’s leadership and representation
✨ SGBV prevention and response
✨ Safeguarding and accountability
✨ Gender-responsive planning and institutional practices

Through stakeholder consultations, policy review, drafting, and validation, we are working toward a stronger, more inclusive, and gender-responsive defense institution where gender equality moves beyond policy commitments into meaningful institutional action.

As Radical Young Women Movement (RAYWOM), we believe that women and girls must be at the center of conversations and decisions that shape our institutions and our country.

Out there, we are building something stronger.

Through the Stronger Together – A Gender Transformative Action Coalition Project, supported by BMZ through Medica Mondiale, feminists, women’s rights defenders, and grassroots women-led organizations continue to come together to strengthen our collective power.

The Radical Young Women Movement was pleased to be part of the Annual Movement Building Workshop as a Coalition Member held under the theme:

Organizing Together: Strengthening Women’s Rights for Collective Power.

The workshop was more than a gathering it was a space to reflect, learn, organize, strengthen solidarity, and strategize for a stronger and more sustainable feminist movement in Liberia.

Out there, the work continues. We organize. We learn. We advocate. We support one another. And together, we build the power needed to advance women’s rights and gender justice.

At the Radical Young Women Movement (RAYWOM), we believe that strong movements are built through reflection, planning, and collective action.

On August 21 , RAYWOM convened its Technical Working Meeting at Medica Liberia, bringing together team members to review our 2026 Activity Plan, discuss volunteer recruitment updates, and strengthen coordination around the Feminist Coalition Project (FCP) 2026–2027.

The meeting provided an important platform to assess progress, identify priorities, and agree on clear action points that will guide our work in promoting young women’s leadership, gender equality, and meaningful participation in decision-making processes.

We are excited about the growing interest from young women seeking to join the movement and remain committed to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for young women and girls across Liberia.

Together, we continue to build a stronger movement driven by collaboration, accountability, and action.

As a partner of the Feminist Coalition Project (FCP), the Radical Young Women Movement (RAYWOM) was represented at the Baseline Review Meeting of the Peace Generation Project alongside other stakeholders.

The meeting focused on reviewing baseline findings and strengthening collaboration among partners to support effective peacebuilding, women’s rights, and youth empowerment initiatives.
