Small, consistent actions can create powerful change — and that’s exactly what we believe at OpenStreetMap Liberia. 🌍✨

By taking simple positive steps, we can transform our communities and inspire others to do the same.

Here are a few highlights from our one-day Cleanup Campaign. We didn’t just clean — we mapped and cleaned, ensuring that every effort contributes to a healthier, more organized, and more sustainable environment.

Our dedicated team of young volunteers committed themselves to removing plastics and solid waste and promoting a cleaner, safer community for everyone.

👉 Follow us, share our work, and join us as we continue making a difference — one small action at a time.

For many years, Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 and Liberia 🇱🇷 has maintained a historically significant partnership. Both countries share cultural and ethnic ties. At such, there has always been ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation and to strengthen relations.

From the angle of open source mapping, we hosted YouthMappers Regional Ambassador and an official of OSM Sierra Leone Community, Mr. Ibrahim Abdulai Kargbo on a virtual seminar to lecture about Sierra Leone and Liberia YouthMappers and OpenStreetMap communities shared partnerships. The aim is to foster regional collaboration, as well as increase the quality and number of contributions to OpenstreetMap.

Mr. Ibrahim Abdulai Kargbo shared insights about the background of YouthMappers and highlighted the events and projects that OpenStreetMap Sierra Leone has engaged in over the years. The event was brief but highly impactful reinforcing our commitment to building resilient and informed communities through mapping within the region.

Thanks to all of the participants from both Sierra Leone and Liberia. Being the start, we now look forward to more remote and in-person projects that the two mapping communities can embark on together.
