Our road to World Contraception Day celebrations has officially begun!
Today, our team in Liberia, together with the Ministry of Health, took family planning education to 4 Senior High schools in Buchanan, bringing together over 400 students for an engaging and competitive quiz on family planning and contraceptive knowledge.
We kicked off the activity with an interactive session introducing students to the different contraceptive options available to them, including DKT’s range of products.
We also tackled some of the common myths and misconceptions surrounding contraception, particularly questions around fertility and emergency contraceptive pills. The conversations were honest, educational and most importantly, created room for young people to ask questions and make informed choices.
Then came the quiz! 🏆
Student representatives from the 4 schools went head-to-head in a keenly contested competition, putting their knowledge to the test.
Annie T. Doe Senior High School emerged as winners by a very close margin, while Open Bible Senior High School secured second place.
Beyond the competition and prizes, the real win was creating a fun and engaging platform for young people to gain accurate knowledge about their reproductive health and the choices available to them.
