Director Abraham Billy is actively involved in strengthening the TVET sector, attending the TVET stakeholders' dialogue organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This effort is part of the broader goal to enhance technical and vocational education in Liberia, making it more responsive to labor market needs and empowering youth.

The dialogue likely focused on key areas such as:

*Curriculum Updates

Aligning TVET programs with industry demands to ensure employability.

*Infrastructure Upgrade

Modernizing facilities for hands-on learning.

*Instructor Training

Equipping instructors with latest techniques and technologies.

*Partnerships

Collaborating with stakeholders to leverage expertise and resources.

These initiatives aim to transform TVET into a powerful engine for youth empowerment and national development. By equipping young Liberians with relevant skills, TVET can help address unemployment challenges and drive economic growth. The Ministry of Youth and Sports' efforts to strengthen TVET are crucial in this regard.

The dialogue also highlighted the importance of industry-relevant training, with stakeholders emphasizing the need for TVET programs to adapt to emerging trends and technologies. This includes areas like renewable energy, digital skills, and agribusiness.

The TVET sector has the potential to be a game-changer for Liberia's youth. With the right investments in infrastructure, curriculum, and instructor training, TVET can provide young people with the skills they need to succeed. Director Abraham Billy's involvement in the dialogue underscores the importance of collaboration in driving TVET reform forward.

The next steps involve implementing these initiatives and ensuring they translate into tangible benefits for Liberian youth. This includes monitoring progress, evaluating impact, and making adjustments as needed. With sustained effort, TVET can become a powerful tool for national development.

The Youth Agenda will be driven by the youth:

Today, we engaged with Youth Chairpersons of 32 out of 43 political parties in Liberia. We shared our vision for the young people and extended a hand for dialogue and collaboration as we champion this cause.

We agreed to work collaboratively to design and implement initiatives that will benefit youth irrespective of political affiliation.

Young people should not only be partners during elections. They must remain involved in decision making processes that affect them. We are committed to providing this platform as the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

We have one more group to meet (youth in entrepreneurship) to conclude the first phase of engagements with stakeholders in the youth sector. Weโ€™ve met the various leaders of statutory youth groups and representatives from the creatives as well.
