Good morning world, and a bless morning to all my peeps on Facebook. I just saw a post relating to group of people going to Redemption Hospital to donate items to new born moms for their babies. And they got turned down or asked to give the supplies and allow redemption staff do the distribution or something.
I also read the team took the items back, due to not being allow into the building or picture purposes. However, this is my point donations, or offering services to the needy isn't always about our gain, A lot of organizations face simaliar situations many times, I am talkimg people who been doing the work for years yet, they do their leg work everytime if the need be. At international children alert Inc, we've been in charity work for years, on lower and larger scales, yet we always follow the rules and regulations of the sites, venues or communities we intend to support.
I say this because, our team were once at Redemption Hospital during our annual giveaway in 2025, we might have been told the same thing, or almost we try to meet the requirements, which is visit the site, let the people know your intentions, find a targe group along with a designated individual to head the project then go carryout the distribution.
While at Redemption hospital in 2025 July, ICA Inc distributed pampers to about 120 new born moms, but didn't take much pictures aside from what they allowed. And truly it was okay, once our goal was met. We were told no pictures, in certain areas of the hospital patients privacy our team respected that and everything was fine. We had a few staff and managers joins us before and after the distribution at the end of the day event was successful. The mothers were grateful and happy to receive such gifts, hospital management and staff thanked us and we left.
Liberians lets focus on the impact and cause of what our mission is verses what publicity we can gained while carrying out these . I think alot of organizations, both local and international are doing amazing things back home, but never out loud with it, some of us need to practice that. I deeply appreciate the gesture but, the intend be throwing me off often times. May God see our efforts and grant us strength to continue the service. I had to say this... please follow our website @ international-childrens-alert.com, page @ facebook international children alert Inc...
