Today, our Executive Director, Youth Action for Transformation Network (YATN) at the Pre–AU–EU Summit Dialogue hosted by the EU in Liberia.

We discussed the AU–EU partnership, the Global Gateway initiative, and key EU priorities, Peace, Security, Prosperity, Multilateralism, Migration & Mobility, along with the EU’s €9 billion investment in Africa. We also acknowledged the EU’s strong support to Liberia in roads, energy, TVET, and governance.

From a youth perspective, YATN highlighted priorities in skills development, green jobs, youth participation, digital innovation, exchange opportunities, and greater accountability.

A meaningful engagement as we move toward the AU–EU Summit.

Message to World Leaders at COP30
From Youth Action for Transformation Network (YATN)

As the world gathers at COP30, we, the Youth Action for Transformation Network, speak on behalf of young people whose futures depend on the decisions made in these rooms. Climate change is not a distant threat, it is our daily reality. From rising sea levels to droughts destroying livelihoods, our communities are already paying the price for a crisis they did not create.

We urge world leaders to honor their climate finance commitments, not with promises, but with action. Climate financing must be accessible, transparent, and equitable, especially for developing nations and youth-led initiatives driving local adaptation and innovation.

Young people are not just beneficiaries; we are partners in climate solutions. Investing in youth-led climate action means investing in resilience, creativity, and the sustainable future we all seek.

At COP30, let this be the turning point, from words to funding, from pledges to progress. Finance the future. Fund the planet. Empower the youth.

Yesterday, The Academy in collaboration with Youth Action for Transformation Network - YATN organized a One Day Seminar under the Theme: "Climate Mobility- A Cause For Youth To Champion"

As floods continue to destroy homes in Liberia, it's of grand concern that we Climate Justice Activists start to spread the message about climate mobility; it's a concept that refers to the movement of people because of sea-level rise, floods, storms, droughts, and other such impacts related to environmental change and climate change. We have over 50 plus participants at the seminar.

We have experienced several of these impacts recently, especially since the beginning of the Rainy Season in Liberia and it's as the result of Climate Change.

Thanks to our Guest Speaker Ezekiel Nyanfor.

Brother Amb Smaila A Kiazolu Jr. head of our collaborating organization (The Academy).

Thanks to our Executive Director Steve W Collins for his continuous passion in the fight against Climate Change.
