Today, Liberia Youth and Communities Empowerment Program (LYCEP) joins the world in celebrating Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025 under the global theme "Together for a !"

We stand committed to breaking the silence, ending menstrual stigma, and ensuring that every girl and woman has access to safe, hygienic, and dignified menstrual car

Through our EMBASS Campaign (Eliminating Menstrual Bullying and Stigmatization in Schools), we continue to raise awareness, distribute sanitary products, and educate students on menstrual hygiene management.

Today, our team at Liberia Youth and Communities Empowerment Program (LYCEP) took another step forward in our Eliminating Menstrual Bullying and Stigmatization in Schools (EMBASS) campaign! We distributed sanitary pads, cash and also provided essential menstrual hygiene education to help break the stigma surrounding menstruation as part of our quarterly support to schools.

Every girl deserves to manage her period with dignity, confidence, and support. By fostering open conversations and ensuring access to menstrual products, we are working to create safe and inclusive school environments free from bullying and shame.

Let’s continue to advocate for menstrual health awareness and gender equality!

Our team at Liberia Youth Communities Empowerment Program (LYCEP) successfully held an advocacy meeting with CSOs, DEOs, and the Montserrado County Education Office to develop strategies for engaging the Ministry of Education on revising the School Health Policy.

The meeting was highly interactive, with valuable recommendations gathered to strengthen our advocacy efforts. These insights will play a key role in ensuring that school health policies are more inclusive, effective, and responsive to students' needs.

Today, our team from Liberia Youth Communities Empowerment Program (LYCEP) had a successful meeting with the new CEO of Montserrado. This marks a significant step forward in our continued efforts to eliminate Menstrual Bullying and create safer, more supportive environments for girls.
