The Transparency & Accountability Cluster of the Legislative Monitoring Coalition of Liberia (LEMCOL) on Thursday, May 27, 2026, convened a half-day meeting with Hon. Eugene J.M. Kollie, Representative of District #5, B**g County. The meeting brought together members of the cluster and the district lawmaker in a structured engagement aimed at strengthening the relationship between civil society and the Legislature.
The primary objective of the meeting was to brief the Honorable Representative on LEMCOL's ongoing activities at the Legislature as well as within the counties, providing him with a comprehensive overview of the coalition’s monitoring and advocacy work. As part of the engagement, a copy of the Legislative Monitoring Report 2026 was officially presented and shared with the district lawmaker, offering a detailed account of legislative performance, attendance, and accountability benchmarks tracked during the reporting period.
The meeting served as an important platform for dialogue between the coalition and the lawmaker, reinforcing LEMCOL's commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and active civic participation in Liberia's legislative processes.
