As implementing partner of LCOY-LIBERIA, we can't be more excited to see Liberian youth united to take climate actions.

LCOY-LIBERIA 2026 wasn't just a conference but a theory of change.

On Day-1, we trained 30 youth on climate negotiation and diplomacy. Also, we officially launched the Liberian Young Negotiator Group.

On Day-2, we got commitments from government institutions and development partners. Young people were group into 5 thematic groups based on expertise and areas of interest to contribute to the national youth statement which was adopted with one voice.

Thanks to Actionaid Liberia for funding LCOY-LIBERIA 2026.

Yesterday we joined the National Debt & Climate Justice Campaign to turn our affirmation of the Monrovia Declaration On Debt Climate Justice into action.

We matched alongside civil society organizations, climate activists, environmental students, and residents of vulnerable communities to demand Debt and Climate Justice.

The petition was delivered to Hon Aquency Tole District # 8 Montserrado County.

We look forward to Hon. Toles presenting our demand to the committee on petition, speaker and rallying colleagues regarding the National Debt-Climate Audit Report and Monrovia Declaration On Debt Climate Justice.

Yesterday, the Youth for Climate and Environmental Services (YCES) joined more than 20 civil society organizations, development partners, government institutions, youth groups, women's organizations, and climate justice activists for the official launch of the National Debt-Climate Audit Report.

The Report was Officially Launched by Dr. Emmanuel Urey King Yarkpawolo, Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia.

Our Assistant Director Peace Karnkeh signed on behalf of the institution "The Monrovia Declaration On Debt & Climate Justice", affirming YCES commitment to championing climate justice and building adaptable and resilient communities.

The Question "WHO OWES WHO"? This is a serious economic and political question.

Youth people didn't cause or choose climate change but climate change has chosen and befallen our generation.

With Liberia's emissions at 0.03, it reflects the country non-contribution to the climate crisis but yet suffer the blunts, and now paying twice for a crisis didn't cause.

The Report highlighted debt inflation $US 679.4 million 2014 to $US 2.84 billion in 2026 . Debt and Climate Justice are not separate crisis, but a single, interlocking emergency.

We will continue to accelerate this conversation and collaborate with institutions to engage and take action.

World Menstrual Hygiene Day
Menstruation is not shame. It is not weakness. It is life itself.
Every drop tells a story of strength.
Every cycle is a rhythm of resilience.
Every woman deserves dignity, not stigma.

Too many still suffer in silence, facing barriers to education, health, and opportunity simply because of a natural process. Today, we break that silence. We honor the courage of girls and women everywhere, and we demand a world where menstrual health is a right, not a privilege.

Because periods are dignity, not stigma.
