HEALTH ALERT NOTICE
From the MOCSA Mobile Medical Team

The Ministry of Health has issued a national health alert following a newly reported outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Ituri Province, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

At this time, health authorities confirm that there are NO confirmed Ebola cases in Liberia. The public is encouraged to remain calm but vigilant as the Government strengthens surveillance and preparedness measures nationwide.

What is Ebola?

Ebola Virus Disease is a severe illness that spreads through direct contact with:

Blood or body fluids of an infected person
Contaminated objects
Infected animals or dead bodies
Common Symptoms of Ebola

Seek medical attention immediately if someone develops:

Sudden fever
Severe weakness
Headache
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Muscle pain
Unexplained bleeding
How to Protect Yourself and Your Family

✅ Wash hands regularly with soap and clean water
✅ Avoid contact with sick persons or body fluids
✅ Do not touch dead bodies without protection
✅ Report suspected illness immediately to health authorities
✅ Follow information from the Ministry of Health and trusted health workers only
