Action For Girls Empowerment

Following the return of our team lead from Morocco, we convened a day-long reflection and feedback session to share key lessons and experiences from Project Soar, an organization dedicated to the empowerment of adolescent girls. The session created an important space for learning, reflection, and honest conversations around the work we are already doing for adolescents and young people in our communities.

Together, we explored practical ways to integrate these new insights into our existing programs to strengthen our impact and create more opportunities for girls and young people to thrive. We are especially grateful to Salima, the Project Soar representative, for her support, guidance, and willingness to share valuable experiences with our team.

This experience reminds us that our partnership with Global Fund for Children goes beyond project implementation. It is also about strengthening organizations, building resilient teams, and creating sustainable impact for the communities we serve

Girls transforming Future

You heard it here first: young people aren’t waiting ‘their turn’ to have their voices heard. They’re speaking out, working together, and harnessing their skills to build a world that works for them.

We couldn’t be more proud of young leaders like Abigail who are taking action into their own hands. 👏👏👏

Abigail was a member of the Communications Committee at the 2026 Adolescent Girls Summit in Côte D'Ivoire where over 200 adolescents and young people from 25 countries came together to develop an action plan to advance gender justice.

On May 8, our team members, Rita Cecelia Kollie and Linker Cyrus, joined other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at UNICEF Liberia Country Office, located on the 4th Floor of One UN House, Pan Africa Plaza, Sinkor, Monrovia, for an engagement focused on strengthening programs for adolescents in Liberia.

During the meeting, our team highlighted the work we continue to do with adolescents both in schools and at the community level, especially through awareness, mentorship, and empowerment initiatives. The engagement provided an important platform for organizations to share experiences, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration aimed at improving the lives and well-being of adolescents across Liberia.

We remain grateful for opportunities like these that encourage partnership, learning, and collective action for positive community impact.
