Today, our team joined the girls of Margibi All-Girls Public School to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child, celebrated annually on October 11.

Through inspiring messages from our effervescent team, we encouraged girls to believe in themselves, value their education, know their rights, speak out against harmful practices, and pursue their dreams.

Aligned with this year’s theme, “End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls’ Rights,” we reaffirm our commitment to empowering every girl to learn, thrive, and reach her full potential.

Across five communities, change is becoming visible. Adolescents who once struggled to discuss sensitive issues are now leading peer discussions and sharing trusted information through door to door outreach. Parents and community members are engaging more often in conversations about adolescent SRHR, protection, and wellbeing. Young people are growing more confident in asking questions, seeking support, and making informed decisions. Peer Support Groups are also strengthening ties between adolescents and their communities, helping concerns surface earlier and encouraging collective responses. Together, these changes are fostering communities where adolescents are heard, supported, and protected and where young people are recognized as partners in building healthier, safer futures.

From mobilizing adolescents in their communities to creating spaces where their voices can shape decisions AGE is committed to ensuring that young people are heard.

Today, We joined the Adolescent Girls Advisory Panel Conference in Paynesville under the Nurture Empower and Protect (NEP) Joint Programme, bringing together adolescent girls and boys, CBOs, government, UN agencies, and partners around the theme: “Harnessing the Full Potential of Adolescent Girls in Liberia.”

Our Peer Support Group members actively contributed to the Montserrado County Adolescent Action Plan, while our Men and Boys Volunteers shared powerful perspectives on supporting girls and creating safer communities.

For AGE, this is more than a conference it is about listening, amplifying young voices, and turning their lived experiences into action.

As schools reopen, the health, safety, and well-being of every child must remain a shared responsibility.

Our team is taking SRHR and Family Planning awareness directly into communities meeting people where they are, listening to their concerns, and sharing accurate, age-appropriate information that can help young people make informed and healthy choices.

Through market-day campaigns, door-to-door outreach, public centers, and social gatherings, we will engage communities in Morris Farm, Pleemu, Block-Path, Frank Town, Nyehn, and Kingsville Number 7.

Together, we can prevent unintended pregnancies, promote healthier families, protect children, and ensure that every young person has the knowledge and support they need to thrive.

Let’s talk. Let’s listen. Let’s act. Together, we can make our learning environment communities safer and healthier for every child.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴

Meaningful change begins when we come together, listen to one another, and work toward a shared goal.

We recently participated in the Montserrado County Health Team Partners Coordination Meeting held in Bentol City, Montserrado County. The meeting brought together the County Health Team, partners, local Community-Based Organizations, Community Health Assistants, and Districts Health Officers to strengthen coordination, share updates, and align our health interventions with county priorities.

During this meeting, our representative shared highlights of our work under the Nurture Empower and Protect (NEP) Project, including the establishment and Support Groups, Caregiver Networks, community outreach activities, and the engagement of Men and Boys Volunteers across our five target communities in Careysburg and Todee Health Districts.

These efforts remind us that improving adolescent health and well-being requires more than individual action. It calls for strong partnerships, active community participation, and a shared commitment to creating healthier, safer, and more empowered communities.

We remain committed to working alongside the County Health Team and partners to turn collaboration into meaningful impact across Montserrado County.

Together, stronger coordination means greater impact!
