Moslyn is a passionate young leader who dreams of contributing meaningfully to transforming her community into a place that is safe, healthy, and good environment. From her perspective, environmental protection means saving lives and making better decisions that positively impact her community.

Meet Elizabeth Darnuwellie, a participant of Cohort II of our Trash to Treasure program.

Elizabeth is a passionate young leader who believes that a safer environment promotes a healthy living. She holds the view that collecting plastic waste and making it more reusable is a call to action for a safer, cleaner soil and environment.

She hopes to acquire hands-on knowledge that will foster economic growth and use the skills learned from the Trash to Treasure to positively impact others in her community.

Elizabeth hopes that after the Trash to Treasure program, she will open her own mini-business involved in transforming plastic and cotton waste into valuable, useful items.

Meet Alaka Nelson Zogbaye, a participant of Cohort II of our Trash to Treasure program.

Alaka is a graduate of Cuttington University who earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in chemistry. Though an introvert on the surface, he is an extrovert underneath.

For Ala Ka, environmental protection means saving the soil and atmosphere from pollution and fostering healthy conditions. His goal is to see a world that is free from plastic waste. He believes that learning new ideas to turn trash into reusable materials and applying healthy environmental practices will save our world.

Alaka hopes to use every bit of knowledge he will gain from the Trash to Treasure program to promote a safe and clean environment. Moreover, looks forward to using the knowledge to generate income to help sustain himself and his family.

Elizabeth is a senior student in the Department of Health Sciences at B**g County University. She is strongly concerned about the health risks created by improper plastic disposal.

Her goal is to see a community that is healthy and promotes good environmental practices. She aims to use every piece of knowledge she will gain from the Trash to Treasure program to educate her community about best practices for eliminating plastic pollution.

Meet G. Alvin Kwaneh Jr, a participant of Cohort II of our Trash to Treasure program.
Alvin is a current student at Cuttington University, and he believes that environmental protection is about taking responsibility for how our actions affect the land, water, and air around us.

His goal is to contribute to a cleaner, healthier Liberia while continuing to grow my skills and impact. And to achieve this, Alvin aims to establish a small-scale recycling initiative that transforms plastic waste into useful products while creating opportunities for youth like himself.
