NEC Liberia Issues Media Advisory On Nimba County By - election, kindly read through....

Over the weekend, our institution, CRD, proudly collaborated with the National Election Commission (NEC) of Liberia to launch an important initiative focused on Civic and Voter Education in preparation for the upcoming Senatorial By-election scheduled for April 22, 2025. The event, themed "Encouraging Voters' Full Participation," aimed to inspire a sense of civic duty among the populace.

The launch attracted a diverse group of attendees, uniting citizens from all walks of life. Local leadership from Nimba County, representatives of people with disabilities (PWDs), enthusiastic youths, women-led organizations, motorcycle riders, students from various schools, and NEC staff at the county level came together in a vibrant display of community spirit.

Prominent speakers at the program included commissioners from NEC, local leaders, women groups, and the NEC magistrate for upper Nimba as well as representative from the PWD community. Our own Executive Director also took the stage to address the audience on behalf of the ten qualified Civic and Voter Education Cells participating in the By-election efforts.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who contributed to this vital initiative, including UNDP and other development partners, whose unwavering support helped make this event a success.
