About YCEN

Youth Climate and Environment Network (YCEN) is a youth-led, non-profit organization established in 2021, dedicated to advancing climate resilience and environmental justice in Liberia. We empower youth and women to take active roles in protecting the environment, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and advocating for strong climate policies. YCEN focuses on climate adaptation, environmental education, reducing plastic pollution, protecting wetlands, and ensuring food security. Through community engagement, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building programs, we mobilize young professionals to lead local solutions for global challenges. We collaborate with local and international partners to expand our impact, raise awareness, and drive actionable change. By fostering shared responsibility and supporting government initiatives, YCEN aims to reduce plastic pollution by up to 80% by 2040 and create resilient, climate-ready communities.
