🌍🐘 Happy World Elephant Day! Today, we celebrate these incredible gentle giants and continue to advocate for coexistence between elephants and humans.

Did you know that over the past decade in Sri Lanka, more than 3,400 elephants and 1,200 people have lost their lives due to intense human–elephant conflicts?

But there’s hope. 🌳EleBalance is working closely with a group of farmers in Sri Lanka, helping their orange trees thrive to safely deter elephants.

Let’s honor this day by raising awareness and supporting peaceful coexistence. Together, we can ensure that both elephants and communities not only survive—but thrive. 🐘🧡

Want to know where our name EleBalance came from? In many places, people use the nickname “Ellie” for elephant. 🐘We combined Ele (pronounced like Ellie) and Balance to represent the balance that occurs when both people and elephants peacefully coexist.
