🌸 Women’s Citizenship and Skills Development Training Program🌸

On 29 July 2026, RAHAMA conducted a Women’s Citizenship and Skills Development Training Program at the Ramanoor Preschool Hall, Puliyankulam, Vavuniya North Division.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Arivalahan, External Resource Person, and focused on strengthening women's leadership capacity, citizenship awareness, self-confidence, and practical life skills that support both personal growth and active community engagement.

A total of 30 women participated in the training and actively engaged in discussions, group activities, and interactive learning exercises that enhanced their understanding of citizenship, community participation, leadership, and decision-making processes. The session also provided a valuable platform for women to share experiences, learn from one another, and build supportive networks within their communities.

29.07.2026 அன்று, வவுனியா வடக்கு பிரதேசத்தின் புளியங்குளம், இராமனூர் முன்பள்ளி மண்டபத்தில், பெண்களுக்கான குடியுரிமை மற்றும் திறன் மேம்பாட்டு பயிற்சி நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது.

இப்பயிற்சியை வளவாளரான திரு. அறிவழகன் அவர்கள் வழிநடத்தினார். பெண்களின் தலைமைத்துவத் திறன், குடியுரிமை பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு, தன்னம்பிக்கை மற்றும் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கைக்குத் தேவையான நடைமுறைத் திறன்களை மேம்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு இந்நிகழ்ச்சி முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டது.

இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் 30 பெண்கள் ஆர்வத்துடன் பங்கேற்றதன் மூலம் சமூகப் பங்கேற்பு, பொறுப்புணர்வு, தலைமைத்துவம் மற்றும் முடிவெடுக்கும் திறன் குறித்த அவர்களின் புரிதல் மேலும் வலுப்பெற்றது.

බාහිර සම්පත් දායක අරිවාලහම් මහතා විසින් මෙහෙයවන ලද මෙම වැඩසටහනේදී කාන්තා නායකත්වය, පුරවැසිභාවය පිළිබඳ දැනුවත්භාවය, ආත්ම විශ්වාසය සහ ජීවන කුසලතා වර්ධනය කිරීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරන ලදී.

සක්‍රීය සාකච්ඡා සහ කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් හරහා සහභාගිවූවන්ගේ සමාජ සහභාගීත්වය, තීරණ ගැනීමේ හැකියාව සහ පෞද්ගලික සංවර්ධනය තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් විය.

RAHAMA Mid-Year Review Workshop 2026
📅 23–25 July 2026
RAHAMA successfully concluded its Mid-Year Review Workshop 2026, bringing together management, Board representatives, staff members, Boundary Partners, and resource persons to reflect on achievements, assess organizational performance, strengthen collaboration, and define priorities for the second half of 2026.
The three-day workshop created a valuable platform for collective reflection, learning, experience sharing, and strategic planning to further strengthen RAHAMA’s programmes and organizational systems.
Throughout the workshop, participants:
🔹 Reviewed programme performance across key thematic areas including livelihoods development, child rights, gender equality, mental health and well-being, climate-smart agriculture, alcohol and drug prevention, and Boundary Partner development.
🔹 Assessed financial performance, audit compliance, internal accountability mechanisms, and governance practices to further strengthen organizational transparency and effectiveness.
🔹 Enhanced knowledge and understanding of Results-Based Management (RBM) and the MERLA (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning and Adaptation) framework to improve programme quality, learning, and evidence-based decision-making.
🔹 Reviewed the existing Management Information System (MIS) with the support of an external consultant to identify opportunities for strengthening data management, reporting systems, information flow, and evidence-based decision-making within RAHAMA.
🔹 Discussed recommendations to improve digital documentation, data quality, accessibility, and effective utilization of management information to enhance programme monitoring, organizational learning, and strategic planning.
🔹 Identified implementation challenges, lessons learned, and practical solutions to improve programme delivery, quality, and long-term impact.
🔹 Strengthened discussions on sustainability, community ownership, evidence-based reporting, organizational learning, and cross-functional collaboration among RAHAMA teams and Boundary Partners.
👥 Participation:
A total of 39 participants attended the three-day workshop, including the Secretary General, 01 Board Member, 15 RAHAMA staff members, 02 support staff, 17 Boundary Partners, 01 Translator, and 02 Resource Persons.
The workshop witnessed active engagement and meaningful participation from RAHAMA management, Board representatives, staff members, Boundary Partners, resource persons, translator, and support staff throughout all sessions.
The workshop reaffirmed RAHAMA’s commitment to accountability, innovation, partnership, organizational learning, and sustainable community development, ensuring that programmes continue to create meaningful and lasting impacts for the communities we serve.
Together, we reflect, learn, adapt, and move forward to build stronger, more inclusive, and resilient communities.

RAHAMA நிறுவனம் 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான நடுப்பகுதி ஆண்டு மீளாய்வு பயிற்சிப்பட்டறையை நிறைவு செய்துள்ளது.
இப்பயிற்சிப்பட்டறையில் நிறுவன முகாமைத்துவம், பணிப்பாளர் சபை பிரதிநிதிகள், பணியாளர்கள், எல்லை பங்காளர்கள் (Boundary Partners) மற்றும் வளவாளர்கள் ஒன்றிணைந்து, இதுவரையான சாதனைகளை மீளாய்வு செய்து, நிறுவன செயல்திறனை மதிப்பீடு செய்து, 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டின் இரண்டாம் பாதிக்கான முன்னுரிமைகளைத் தீர்மானித்தனர்.
மூன்று நாட்கள் நடைபெற்ற இப்பயிற்சிப்பட்டறை, கூட்டு சிந்தனை, அனுபவப் பகிர்வு, கற்றல் மற்றும் எதிர்கால திட்டமிடலுக்கான முக்கியமான தளமாக அமைந்தது.

🔹 டிஜிட்டல் ஆவணப்படுத்தல், தரவு தரநிலை, தகவல் அணுகல் மற்றும் முகாமைத்துவ தகவல்களின் பயனுள்ள பயன்பாட்டை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான பரிந்துரைகள் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டன.
🔹 திட்ட நடைமுறைப்படுத்தலில் எதிர்கொள்ளப்படும் சவால்கள், கற்றுக்கொண்ட பாடங்கள் மற்றும் திட்டங்களின் தரம் மற்றும் தாக்கத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான நடைமுறை தீர்வுகள் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டன.

மூன்று நாள் பயிற்சிப்பட்டறையில் மொத்தம் 39 பேர் பங்கேற்றனர். இதில் செயலாளர் நாயகம், 01 பணிப்பாளர் சபை உறுப்பினர், 15 RAHAMA பணியாளர்கள், 02 ஆதரவு பணியாளர்கள், 17 எல்லை பங்காளர்கள் (Boundary Partners), 01 மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர் மற்றும் 02 வளவாளர்கள் ஆகியோர் அடங்குவர்.
RAHAMA முகாமைத்துவம், பணிப்பாளர் சபை பிரதிநிதிகள், பணியாளர்கள், எல்லை பங்காளர்கள், வளவாளர்கள், மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர் மற்றும் ஆதரவு பணியாளர்கள் ஆகியோர் அனைத்து அமர்வுகளிலும் முழுமையான ஈடுபாட்டுடன் பங்கேற்றனர்.

🌱 Promoting Livelihoods through Home Gardening 🌱

On 27 May 2026, RAHAMA supported 45 families selected according to the identified criteria from the Poonakary area of Kilinochchi District, who were affected by the recent floods. The support was provided to help them continue and strengthen their home gardening activities as a means of improving household food security and livelihoods.

The families were supported with vegetable plants such as chilli, brinjal, okra, and tomato, along with necessary guidance to maintain their home gardens.

Currently, the beneficiary families are actively and enthusiastically continuing their home gardening activities. This initiative is contributing to improved household food security while creating opportunities to strengthen their livelihoods.

Furthermore, RAHAMA's Programme Coordinator, together with the Boundary Partner Kalvi Panpaattu Malarchi Koodam, has been conducting random home visits to the families and providing technical advice, guidance, and support related to home gardening practices.

Through this continuous technical support and follow-up, the families are encouraged to successfully maintain their home gardens and work towards building more sustainable and resilient livelihoods. 🌱🌶️🍆🍅🤝

🌱 வீட்டுத் தோட்டம் மூலம் வாழ்வாதார மேம்பாடு 🌱

27.05.2026 அன்று, RAHAMA நிறுவனத்தினால் வெள்ளத்தினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பங்களில், குறிப்பிட்ட தகைமைக் கோட்பாடுகளின் அடிப்படையில் பூநகரி, கிளிநொச்சி பிரதேசத்தில் தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்ட 45 குடும்பங்களுக்கு வீட்டுத் தோட்டச் செய்கையை தொடர்ந்து முன்னெடுப்பதற்கான ஆதரவு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

அவர்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில், மிளகாய், கத்தரி, வெண்டிக்காய், தக்காளி உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு காய்கறி நாற்றுகள் மற்றும் தேவையான வழிகாட்டுதல்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.

Special Discussion with the Palmyrah-based Production Group in the Oddusudan Divisional Division! 🌴✨
On 23.07.2026, a significant discussion was successfully held under the leadership of the National Program Manager of RAHAMA with the Palmyrah-based production group established in the Sivanagar and Vithiyapuram grama niladhari divisions of the Oddusudan division. A total of 13 female participants attended and graced the occasion.
Key highlights of this meeting:
• Current Production & Income: The group's ongoing palmyrah-based productions were reviewed, and inquiries were made regarding the income generated through them.
• Marketing & Demand: Detailed explanations were provided regarding marketing mechanisms for the products and the current demand for palmyrah products in both local and international markets.
• Women's Group Structure: Discussions and planning took place to organize them into smaller production groups in the future, operating under the umbrella of the "Working Women's Group."
• Large-Scale Expansion: Strategies were discussed and planned to integrate the outputs of the production groups in the future to scale up operations significantly.

கடந்த 23.07.2026 அன்று, RAHAMA நிறுவனத்தின் தேசிய நிகழ்ச்சித் திட்ட முகாமையாளர் அவர்களின் தலைமையில், ஒட்டுசுட்டான் பிரதேசத்திற்கு உட்பட்ட சிவநகர் மற்றும் வித்தியாபுரம் கிராமப் பிரிவுகளில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ள பனைசார் உற்பத்தி குழுவினருடன் முக்கிய கலந்துரையாடல் ஒன்று வெற்றிகரமாக இடம்பெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வில் 13 பெண் உறுப்பினர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்பித்தனர்.

Special Planning Discussion on Future Project Initiatives of RAHAMA with the Jayapuram Youth club!
On 22.07.2026, a significant planning discussion was held with youth groups under the leadership of the National Program Manager at the RAHAMA Jayapuram Office.
Key highlights of this meeting include:
• Next 6-Month Action Plan: Detailed planning and discussions were held regarding future projects and activities aimed at children and youth in the Jayapuram area over the coming six months.
• Youth Club Contribution: Community development activities to be carried out at the grassroots level through this youth organization and their ongoing contributions were discussed.
• Small Business Guidance: Valuable advice and guidance regarding small business ventures were provided to support the economic empowerment of the youth.
• Coordination with Target Groups: A consensus was reached on successfully implementing projects among children, youth, and specific target groups.
Following the creative project proposals presented by the youth, a resolution was made to collaborate with this organization for future project implementations.

Special Planning Discussion Held Between the Kalvi Panpaatu Malarchchi Koodam (KPMK) and RAHAMA at Poonagary.
A significant planning discussion was held on 22.07.2026 between the National Programme Manager of RAHAMA and the members of the Kalvi Panpaatu Malarchchi Koodam(KPMK).
The session focused on mapping out the action plans to be implemented over the next six months (2026), addressing current challenges, and identifying effective ways to overcome them.
Key Highlights of the Meeting:
• Community Development Initiatives: Strategic planning to efficiently execute upcoming projects targeting children, women, and youth over the next six months.
• Small-Scale Industries Development: Discussions on new livelihood and small-scale industry projects to ensure the long-term sustainability of the forum, along with valuable guidance provided by the Programme Manager.
• Sustainable Change: Agreement on pathways and methodologies to drive impactful, long-lasting transformation at the community level.

RAHAMA நிறுவனத்தின் தேசிய நிகழ்ச்சித் திட்ட முகாமையாளர் மற்றும் கல்வி பண்பாட்டு மலர்ச்சி கூட அமைப்பின் அங்கத்தவர்கள் கலந்துகொண்ட முக்கிய கலந்துரையாடல் ஒன்று 22.07.2026 இடம்பெற்றது.
எதிர்வரும் ஆறு மாத காலத்தில் (2026) நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட உள்ள செயற்திட்டங்கள், எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்கள் மற்றும் அவற்றை வெற்றிகரமாக முகம் கொடுப்பதற்கான வழிமுறைகள் குறித்து இதன்போது விரிவாக ஆராயப்பட்டது.
இக்கூட்டத்தின் முக்கிய சிறப்பம்சங்கள்:

• சமூக மேம்பாட்டுத் திட்டங்கள்: சிறுவர்கள், பெண்கள் மற்றும் இளைஞர்களை இலக்காகக் கொண்டு எதிர்வரும் ஆறு மாதங்களில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டிய செயற்திட்டங்களை மிகவும் வினைத்திறனுடன் நடைமுறைப்படுத்துவதற்கான திட்டமிடல்.
• சிறுகைத்தொழில் மேம்பாடு: அமைப்பின் எதிர்கால நிலைத்தன்மையை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில், சிறுகைத்தொழில் தொடர்பான புதிய திட்டங்கள் குறித்தும், அதற்கான ஆலோசனைகள் தேசிய நிகழ்ச்சித் திட்ட முகாமையாளரால் வழங்கப்பட்டமை.
• நிலையான மாற்றம்: சமூக மட்டத்தில் ஆக்கபூர்வமான மற்றும் நிலையான மாற்றங்களை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் செயற்பாடுகளை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்வதற்கான வழிமுறைகள் குறித்து உடன்படிக்கை எட்டப்பட்டது.

On 23.07.2026, a discussion was held with the Periyasalampan Farmers’ Organization, led by the National Program Manager of RAHAMA. The discussion focused on the ongoing projects implemented with the organization and future agriculture production-related activities planned by the organization. The challenges faced by the organization were also identified and discussed, along with possible solutions and follow-up actions. Future activities and necessary follow-up measures were planned accordingly. Participants: 12 (Male – 6, Female – 6)

Following the discussion, the home gardens of 03 beneficiaries were also visited and monitored.(families supported under the flood recovery project )

23.07.2026 அன்று பெரியசாலம்பன் கமக்கார அமைப்புடன், RAHAMA நிறுவனத்தின் தேசிய நிகழ்ச்சித் திட்ட முகாமையாளரின் தலைமையில் கலந்துரையாடல் ஒன்று நடைபெற்றது. இக்கலந்துரையாடலில் அமைப்புடன் இணைந்து முன்னெடுக்கப்படும் திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் எதிர்காலத்தில் அமைப்பினால் முன்னெடுக்கப்படவுள்ள விவசாய உற்பத்தி சார்ந்த திட்டங்கள் தொடர்பாகக் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டது. மேலும், அவர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்கள் தொடர்பாக ஆராயப்பட்டதுடன், அவற்றிற்கான தீர்வுகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கான தொடர் நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்தும் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டு, எதிர்கால நடவடிக்கைகள் திட்டமிடப்பட்டன.

தொடர்ந்து, வெள்ளத்தினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பங்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட வீட்டுத்தோட்டத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயனடைந்த 03 பயனாளிகளின் வீட்டுத்தோட்டங்கள் பார்வையிடப்பட்டன.

🌱 Climate-Smart and Climate-Adaptive Agriculture Training for Farmers 🌱
A training session on “Climate-Smart and Climate-Adaptive Agricultural Practices” was conducted on 18 July 2026 at Theivam Preschool, Ramanur, Puliyankulam South, Vavuniya North, to strengthen farmers’ knowledge and skills in adapting to the impacts of climate change.

The training was conducted with the support of an external resource person, who facilitated the session and provided practical guidance on protecting agricultural activities against challenges such as droughts, floods, and other climate-related impacts.
The training brought together farmer families from Kollarpuliyankulam, Alankulam, Laika Village, and surrounding areas. Key topics included soil sterilization, border cropping, intercropping, pot irrigation, bottle irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, drip irrigation, polybag cultivation, row planting, mulching, and other climate-resilient farming techniques. Participants also discussed common crop diseases and practical measures for prevention and management.

A total of 24 farmers, including 1 male and 23 females, participated in the training. Farmers actively shared their experiences and discussed practical solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change and promote sustainable and resilient farming practices.

காலநிலை மாற்றத்தின் தாக்கங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப விவசாயிகள் தங்களைத் தயார்படுத்திக் கொள்ளும் வகையில், “காலநிலை புத்திசாலித்தனமான மற்றும் காலநிலை மாற்றத்திற்கு ஏற்ற விவசாய நடைமுறைகள்” தொடர்பான பயிற்சி 18.07.2026 அன்று வவுனியா வடக்கு, புளியங்குளம் தெற்கு, இராமனூர், தெய்வம் முன்பள்ளியில் நடைபெற்றது.

இப்பயிற்சி வெளிப்புற வளவாளரின் (External Resource Person) வழிகாட்டுதல் மற்றும் வளவள ஆதரவுடன் நடத்தப்பட்டது. வறட்சி, வெள்ளம் மற்றும் காலநிலை மாற்றத்தால் ஏற்படும் ஏனைய சவால்களுக்கு மத்தியில் விவசாய நடவடிக்கைகளை பாதுகாப்பதற்கான நடைமுறை வழிகாட்டுதல்கள் வளவாளரால் வழங்கப்பட்டன.

கொல்லர்புளியங்குளம், அலங்குளம், லைக்கா கிராமம் மற்றும் அதனைச் சூழவுள்ள பகுதிகளைச் சேர்ந்த விவசாயக் குடும்பங்கள் இப்பயிற்சியில் கலந்துகொண்டனர். மண் கிருமிநீக்கம், வரம்புப் பயிரிடல், கலப்புப் பயிரிடல், தொட்டி நீர்ப்பாசனம், போத்தல் நீர்ப்பாசனம், தெளிப்பு நீர்ப்பாசனம், சொட்டு நீர்ப்பாசனம், பொலித்தீன் பை பயிரிடல், வரிசைப் பயிரிடல், மூடாக்கு முறைகள் மற்றும் ஏனைய காலநிலை மாற்றத்திற்குத் தாங்குதிறன் கொண்ட விவசாய நுட்பங்கள் தொடர்பாக பயிற்சி வழங்கப்பட்டது. மேலும், பொதுவாக ஏற்படும் பயிர் நோய்கள் மற்றும் அவற்றைத் தடுப்பதற்கும் கட்டுப்படுத்துவதற்குமான நடைமுறை நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்தும் கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டது.

இப்பயிற்சியில் 1 ஆண் மற்றும் 23 பெண்கள் உட்பட மொத்தம் 24 விவசாயிகள் கலந்துகொண்டனர். விவசாயிகள் தங்களது அனுபவங்களைப் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதுடன், காலநிலை மாற்றத்தால் ஏற்படும் சவால்களை எதிர்கொண்டு நிலையான மற்றும் தாங்குதிறன் கொண்ட விவசாய நடைமுறைகளை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான நடைமுறை தீர்வுகள் குறித்தும் கலந்துரையாடினர்.

🌿 Strengthening Community Support Through Case Management 🌿
On 14 July 2026, a Case Management Training was conducted at Olirumvaalvu Organization, Thunukkai, Mullaitivu, with the participation of 19 women members from the Women's Wing.

The training enhanced participants' knowledge of case identification, the case management process, and ethical principles, equipping them with essential skills to provide effective support to individuals and families in their communities.

We sincerely appreciate the enthusiastic participation and commitment of all the women who took part in this training. Together, we are building stronger, safer, and more supportive communities.

🌿 சமூக நலப் பிரச்சினைகளை முகாமைத்துவம் செய்வதற்கான பயிற்சி 🌿
14.07.2026 அன்று முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்டம், துணுக்காய், ஒளிரும் வாழ்வில் மகளிர் பிரிவு உறுப்பினர்களுக்கான சமூக நலப் பிரச்சினைகளை முகாமைத்துவம் செய்வதற்கான பயிற்சி நடைபெற்றது. இதில் 19 பெண்கள் பங்கேற்றனர்.

பயிற்சியின் மூலம் சமூகத்தில் காணப்படும் பல்வேறு பிரச்சினைகளை அடையாளம் காணுதல், அவற்றை சரியான முறையில் கையாளுதல், பொருத்தமான சேவைகளுடன் இணைத்தல் மற்றும் தொழில்முறை ஒழுக்கநெறிகளைப் பின்பற்றுதல் தொடர்பான அடிப்படை அறிவும் திறன்களும் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
இப்பயிற்சி, தேவையுடைய தனிநபர்கள் மற்றும் குடும்பங்களுக்கு உரிய ஆதரவையும் வழிகாட்டலையும் வழங்குவதற்கான பெண்களின் திறன்களை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தியது.
