🌍 EEGAI at the United Nations Second World Summit for Social Development – Day 3 Highlights

✨Day 3 in Doha was another inspiring chapter in EEGAI’s journey, marked by meaningful global engagement and powerful conversations. We were deeply honoured to meet Her Excellency Ms. Lolwah Al Khater, Qatar’s Minister of Education, and proudly introduce the vision of the EEGAI Innovation Hub. We also had the privilege of engaging with the Secretary-General of SAARC, as well as the Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations in New York, H.E. Mr. Olivier Maes, and the Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations in New York, strengthening dialogue around inclusive development and youth-led innovation.

📌Throughout the day, our booth welcomed delegates from across the world, each visit bringing encouragement, new perspectives, and exciting possibilities for collaboration. The experience was truly energising—reminding us that when global leaders and diverse communities come together with shared purpose, we move closer to a future where opportunity, dignity, and empowerment are universal. 💙🇱🇰🌍

Over 100 children from Patalipuram Village went home with brighter smiles as they received school bags, toys, and snack packs from EEGAI. ✨

This meaningful act of kindness was made possible through the generous contribution of Mr. and Mrs. Rajen, who chose to celebrate their Son’s birthday by giving back to children in need.

100+ lunch packs were distributed to the residents of Echalampathu Village who were affected by the floods, following their urgent request.

At EEGAI, we believe that rebuilding begins with compassion. We encourage everyone to extend a helping hand to your neighbour. In times like these, even the smallest act of kindness can bring comfort to someone who is struggling.

මේ ඔබේ මනුසත්කමේ දෑත් අවැසිම මොහොතයි‼️

පවතින අයහපත් කාලගුණය හේතුවෙන් අපහසුතාවට පත්ව ඇති පවුල්වල අපගේම හිතවතුන් මේ මොහොතේ නිවාස හානි හා මූලික අවශ්‍යතා සපුරාගැනීමේ අරගලයකට මුහුණ පාමින් සිටී.විශේෂයෙන් කාන්තාවන් හා ළමුන් විශේෂ අවදානමකට ලක්ව ඇති අතර ඔවුන්ගේ සෞඛ්‍ය සනීපාරක්ෂාව හා ආරක්ෂාව සඳහා අපගේ දායකත්වය මේ වෙන කවරදාටත් වඩා අවැසි මොහොතයි.

ජීවිතයේ බොහෝ දේ අහිමි වූවන් වෙනුවෙන් හැකි පමණින් සහය වීමට EEGAI අපි දැනටමත් කටයුතු කරන්නෙමු.

வெள்ளத்தால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் உள்ள குடும்பங்கள் கடுமையான துயரங்களைச் சந்தித்து வருகின்றன. வீடுகள் சேதமடைந்து, அடிப்படை அத்தியாவசியப் பொருட்கள் கிடைக்காத நிலையில் உள்ளனர். இதுபோன்ற நேரங்களில், மனிதநேயம் ஒன்றிணைந்து செயல்பட வேண்டும். இந்த இயற்கை சீற்றங்களில் பெண்களும் குழந்தைகளும் மிகவும் பாதிக்கப்படக்கூடியவர்களாக உள்ளனர்; அவர்களுக்கு இப்போது நமது பாதுகாப்பும் கவனிப்பும் மிக அவசியம். பாதிக்கப்பட்டோருக்கு ஆதரவளிக்கும் வகையில், EEGAI அமைப்பு அவசரகால நிவாரணப் பொதிகளைத் தயாரித்து வருகிறது.

🌍 EEGAI at the United Nations Second World Summit for Social Development – Day 2 Highlights

Day 2 at the United Nations Second World Summit for Social Development unfolded as a truly energising chapter in our Doha journey, a day marked by profound exchanges, thoughtful dialogue, and encounters that deepened our commitment to building a more equitable and inclusive world.

A defining moment came with our meeting with Queen Mother Dr. Delois Blakely, a towering figure in global advocacy. Renowned as the Community Mayor of Harlem (1995) and Goodwill Ambassador to Africa (2009), Dr. Blakely has spent decades championing human rights, women’s empowerment, and the eradication of poverty. Her heartfelt encouragement to our youth-led team was both inspiring and reaffirming, especially as we carried Sri Lanka’s voice onto this international platform. 💙🇱🇰

The day continued with our active participation in a series of Solutions Studio sessions and roundtable discussions, where we engaged with representatives from civil society organisations, UN entities, government delegations, and development practitioners from across the globe. These conversations offered valuable perspectives on inclusive development, innovation, and the future of work.

We were also deeply honoured to welcome delegates from every corner of the world, including countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, the Americas, and the Pacific, who visited the EEGAI booth to learn about our Innovation Hub and our enduring mission to ensure that no one is left behind. Their interest and encouragement opened doors to promising partnerships that could amplify our impact both locally and internationally.

Day 2 reminded us that when diverse voices, from youth leaders to global changemakers, come together with shared purpose, we move closer to creating a world where opportunity is accessible, dignity is upheld, and empowerment is universal.

✨ We are honoured to share that the EEGAI Innovation Hub – A Cycle of Empowerment was officially selected as one of the featured commitments at the United Nations Second World Summit for Social Development, during the prestigious Solutions Studio – Spotlight Session: “Redefining Progress: Youth, Work, and the Future We Build.”

Being chosen for this global platform is a powerful recognition of the work we do to empower marginalized youth, women, and rural communities through education, skills, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. Built on EEGAI’s proven Cycle of Empowerment model, the i-Hub creates a continuous pathway from learning to livelihood to enterprise creation, ensuring that opportunity regenerates within the community.

At this session, our Co-Founder Sapthiha Jeevaraj proudly presented the vision behind EEGAI’s commitment, sharing how the i-Hub and the FindMe digital platform reinvest opportunity back into the community. She also used this moment to put forward our call to delegates, Member States, the private sector, NGOs, and all stakeholders: we are seeking resource persons, mentors, partners, and impact investors to help make this commitment a reality on the ground.

Her closing message was simple but powerful: “Empowered people empower people.” She invited everyone not only to invest in themselves, but to invest in others — reminding the audience that investment is not only about money. It is also about sharing knowledge, skills, time, networks, and influence so that more young people can stand up as creators of change in their own communities.

The discussion, moderated by Ariel Alexovich (Sustainable Development Officer at UN DESA) and joined by fellow panelist Ms. Nathalie Delorme (Political Affairs Officer at BeyondLab), explored how youth-driven innovation and new models of work can redefine development in a more inclusive, human-centred way.

For EEGAI, this moment was more than a presentation — it was a representation of Sri Lanka’s youth potential on the world stage and a reminder that meaningful, community-driven solutions can inspire global change. 💙

At the United Nations Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, we had the honour of meeting Hon. Mahinda Jayasinghe, M.P., Deputy Minister of Labour, Sri Lanka.🇱🇰

We shared our vision for the EEGAI Innovation Hub and our Cycle of Empowerment model, which empowers youth, women, and marginalized communities through education, skills, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Hon. Minister expressed his appreciation for EEGAI’s youth-led efforts and encouraged us to continue creating opportunities that uplift Sri Lankan communities and strengthen our national workforce.

We are grateful for this moment of recognition and inspiration—to represent Sri Lanka with pride on the global stage and to ensure no one is left behind. 💙
