🌊 International Coastal Cleanup Day 2026 🌱

Today, we joined the Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA) in a beach cleanup initiative to help protect our beautiful coastline and marine environment.

As part of the program, we also planted trees to promote a greener and more sustainable future. 🌳💚

🌍🌊 Celebrating World Environment Day & World Ocean Day 2026 🌊🌍

Sustainable Clean Lanka successfully organized a special awareness programme at a local school to mark World Environment Day and World Ocean Day.

As part of the event, we donated three-colour waste segregation bins to help students learn proper garbage separation and waste management practices. We also planted trees and distributed tree saplings, promoting environmental conservation among the younger generation.

Our organization has set an ambitious goal of planting 100,000 trees across the Pottuvil area during this year 2026, contributing to a greener and healthier future for Sri Lanka.

We were honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, Deputy Minister wasantha Piyathasa, along with Mr. Adam Saleem divisional organiser Clean S Sri Lanka ,Muzammil, Director of Sustainable Clean Lanka, Mr. Mohamed Imam, Director of Sustainable Clean Lanka, dedicated volunteers, teachers, and the school principal who actively participated in the programme.

Together, we are building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Sri Lanka for future generations. 🌱♻️💙

Beach Clean-Up Success – Arugambay

Today, we successfully carried out a beach clean-up in Arugambay in collaboration with the Arugambay Auto Owners Welfare Foundation, CCD Pottuvil and Police Pottuvil

Together, we collected around 500 kg of plastic and recyclable waste from our beautiful coastline.

This effort is a reminder that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility. Every small action counts towards keeping our beaches clean, safe, and beautiful for future generations.

A big thank you to all the volunteers and supporters who made this initiative a success!

Let’s continue to work together to keep Arugambay clean and plastic-free.
