Embark We are an organization dedicated to improving the wellbeing of the street dogs of Sri Lanka.

Embark is an animal welfare organization that embodies the importance of compassion and focuses on the protection, rescue, and improving the overall wellbeing of street dogs in Sri Lanka. Embark has been focusing on educating the public and conducting awareness campaigns as well as rescues since 2007. The emphasis has also been to make the street dog fashionable to own in the hope of fostering a c

ompassionate attitude towards them. This emanated from the founder, Otara Gunewardene’s background as a well-known entrepreneur, fashion icon, and a philanthropist.

Mathew was brought to us unable to bear weight on his left hind leg and in need of urgent care 💔

Radiographs revealed a fracture in the left hind limb. He is currently receiving treatment, and we are awaiting both his blood test results and the surgeon’s assessment tomorrow 🩺
