Old Boys' Association, Sri Sumangala College

Old Boys' Association, Sri Sumangala College Old Boys' Association of Sri Sumangala College (SSCOBA). There were dedicated Old Boys, who, at numerous occasions tried to make a more active and stable OBA.

By 1981, the OBA had drafted a more comprehensive Constitution, which was very necessary for the proper functioning of the Association. By 1982, the Membership increased at a steady pace. This increase in Membership was mainly due to the tireless efforts of several key members of OBA. In 1985, Mr. Wilson Kahandagamage was elected as its first Old Boy President by a Constitutional amendment. With a

mendments to the OBA Constitution, a Colombo Branch was inaugurated in 1986 with Dr. Malinga Fernando as the President and, later, the Kandy Branch was established in 2001 with Dr. Ananda Gunasekara as the Founding President. Subsequently, the Junior OBA was established for the Old Boys under 30 years.

ස්තුතිය පිරිනැමීම...

වර්ෂ 1922 දී ආරම්භ කරන ලද ශ්‍රී සුමංගල විද්‍යාලීය ආදි ශිෂ්‍ය සංගමයේ 2026/2027 වර්ෂය සඳහා නව නිලධාරී මණ්ඩලය තෝරා පත්කර ගැනීම සහ සංගමයේ ඉදිරි වැඩපිළිවෙළ පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡා කිරීම සඳහා 2026.06.20 දින විද්‍යාලයේ ප්‍රධාන ශාලාවේදී පැවති වාර්ෂික මහා සභා රැස්වීමට සහභාගි වූ ඔබ සැම වෙත අපගේ හෘදයාංගම කෘතවේදීත්වය පළ කර සිටිමු.

ආදි ශිෂ්‍ය සංගමය මෙතෙක් පැමිණි ගමන් මඟ තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කරමින්, හෙට දවස වඩාත් ආලෝකමත් කිරීම සඳහාත්, විද්‍යාලයේ දියුණුව හා අප සාමාජිකයන්ගේ සුබසිද්ධිය වෙනුවෙන්ත් උපරිම කැපවීමෙන් කටයුතු කිරීමට අප අදිටන් කරගෙන සිටිමු.

අපගේ ඉදිරි ගමන සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සඳහාද ඔබගේ අඛණ්ඩ සහයෝගය හා සහභාගීත්වය අපේක්ෂා කරමු.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who attended the Annual General Meeting of the Sri Sumangala College Old Boys' Association—established in 1922—held on June 20, 2026, at the college main hall to elect the new executive committee for the 2026/2027 term and discuss the association's future action plans.

පානදුර ශ්‍රී සුමංගල විද්‍යාලයීය ආදී ශිෂ්‍ය සංගමය විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද Battle '26 සැහැල්ලු පන්දු ක්‍රිකට් තරගාවලිය ආදී ශිෂ්‍ය කණ්ඩායම් 20 කගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් ඉතාමත් සාර්ථකව අප්‍රේල් මස 05 වෙනි ඉරු දින පානදූර මෝදරවිල ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේදී පැවැත්වීය.

ආදි ශිෂ්‍ය සංගමයේ උප සභාපති කුමාරසිරි බෝදරගම මහතා මෙහි ව්‍යාපෘති සභාපති වශයෙන් කටයුතු කරන ලදි. තියුණු තරගයකින් පසු 2017 උසස් පෙළ කණ්ඩායම තරගාවලියේ ශුරතාව දිනා ගන්නා ලද අතර 2013 උසස් පෙළ කණ්ඩායම අනුශූරතාව දිනාගන්නා ලදී.

History made. 🇬🇦

Sri Sumangala College U19 are promoted to the elite Division I Tier A of the U19 School Cricket Tournament from next season onwards — for the first time in our history.

Let that sink in. Sumangalians at the highest level of school cricket in Sri Lanka. This is where we belong.

We beat Maliyadeva College by 6 wickets in the Semi-Final to earn this — and now we march into the Final against Wesley College.

To our boys — you made history today. We are so proud of each and every one of you.

To our coaches — thank you for building this team into champions.

The brainchild behind this achievement is the Past Cricketers' Association of Sri Sumangala College. Every past President and our present President, every past ExCo member and our present ExCo members — you built something special. You planned, you prepared, you funded, and you created a disciplined and unique cricket administration at our college that made this historic moment possible. This is your achievement as much as it is the team's.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Principal, past and present MICs, our college teachers, our college bus driver, the School Development Society, the Old Boys' Association, all our sponsors and well-wishers, and every single person who has stood behind Sumangala Cricket with the Past Cricketers’ Association on this journey.

You believed. You supported. You made this possible.
