On June 22nd and 23rd, 2026, the LMFPA, in collaboration with Projects Abroad, organized an educational exposure programme for a student delegation from Cardiff Sixth Form College, UK. The participants gained valuable insights into the operations and dynamics of the Sri Lankan microfinance sector. We extend our sincere gratitude to Sejaya Micro Credit for their invaluable support in facilitating comprehensive branch and field visits for the students.

LMFPA had the privilege of hosting an Exposure Visit Programme for a 26-member delegation from the Credit & Development Forum (CDF), Bangladesh, from June 12th to 18th, 2026. Designed to study the robust regulatory framework and innovative strides within the Sri Lankan microfinance sector, the programme provided a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing best practices, and exploring opportunities to strengthen regional collaboration.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Department of Supervision of Non-Bank Financial Institutions of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for hosting an insightful interactive session with the delegates in Colombo. Furthermore, we express our heartfelt thanks to our member organizations—Berendina Micro Investments, Dumbara Micro Credit, People’s Micro Commerce, and the Hambantota Women’s Development Federation—for their active support in arranging comprehensive discussions and field visits.
