Together for a Cleaner, Greener Negombo!

As part of the Jeewanadiya – Life Giving Water Initiative, Lions District 306D5, in collaboration with the Negombo Municipal Council, successfully installed a Waste Collection Bin System across selected locations in the Negombo area.

This community service project aims to:
♻️ Promote responsible waste disposal
🌱 Protect our environment and water resources
🏙️ Keep public spaces clean and healthy
🤝 Inspire community participation in environmental conservation

A small step today creates a cleaner and healthier tomorrow for future generations.

🏆🌱 We are proud to announce that JEEWANADIYA has been awarded Runner-Up – Best Environment Project in Lions Multiple District 306!

This remarkable achievement was made possible through the dedication and commitment of Lion Murugadasan, Environment Committee Member, together with Lion Lakmal Wajirasiri, District GST Coordinator, under the leadership of Lion Shashikumar Subramanium, SCA, PMJF, PMAF.

The award was presented at the Lions Multiple District 306 Awards Ceremony held at Grand Maitland.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to making JEEWANADIYA a successful environmental initiative and a shining example of service to our communities. 🌿🦁💚

🌿💧 International Environment Week Celebration – Jeevana Diya Project

In celebration of International Environment Week, the Lions Club of Naiwala Centennial successfully conducted the Jeevana Diya Project at Senanayake Junior School, Kalawana, Minuwangoda.

Water samples were collected from the selected location and sent for laboratory testing to ensure safe and sustainable water quality for the school community.

Special thanks to Lion Kasun and Lion Poshini for their participation and commitment to protecting our environment. 🌱♻️
