St. Joseph's College Old Boys Union - Negombo To foster fellowship among Old Boys of St.Joseph's College Colombo 10 and those interested in the welfare of the College.

To establish a bond of unity among all Old Boys of the College and foster them in a true feeling of loyalty to their alma mater. To encourage the religious educational, cultural, recreational and sporting activities of present and past students of the College who are resident or employed in the Negombo, Katana, Wennapuwa, Kochchikade, Seeduwa, Raddoluwa and Katana electoral districts. To participa

te in social, sports and recreational activities, and undertake or partake in projects or programmes that are of services to the community. To collect and receive subscriptions and donations in the furtherance of its aims and objectives either from members or other persons, and to hold property, borrow money, supply same and any other funds and property for any other objectives or for the general purposes of the Branch Union.

A Historic Bowling Feat by Josephian Cricketer, Nushan Perera

Congratulations to Nushan Perera on an extraordinary and record-breaking performance for St. Joseph’s College!
Nushan delivered a superb spell of bowling against St. Servatius’ College, Matara, claiming a match bag of 16 wickets for just 66 runs, guiding the Joes to an innings and 2-run victory in their Division 1, Tier A, two-day encounter at Darley Road.
In the first innings, Nushan produced a devastating spell of 8 wickets for 36 runs in 14 overs, restricting St. Servatius’ to 122.

When the Joes posted a strong total of 236 for 9 wickets, he returned once again with outstanding accuracy and control, capturing another 8 wickets for 30 runs in 17 overs in the second innings.

This performance makes him:
The first Josephian bowler to take three 8-wicket hauls in a single innings, all against St. Servatius College across the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
The first Josephian ever to secure a 16-wicket match bag in a First XI match.

Nushan’s consistency, discipline, and match-winning skill rightfully mark him as the hero of the game and an inspiration to every young Josephian cricketer.
