ගිරිතලේ කඳවුරු සාක්ෂිකරුගෙන් තීරණාත්මක හඳුනාගැනීමක්
මාධ්යවේදී ප්රගීත් එක්නැලිගොඩ පැහැරගෙන ගොස් අතුරුදන් කිරීමේ සිද්ධියට අදාළව හෝමාගම මහාධිකරණයේ පැවැත්වෙන නඩු විභාගයේදී ගිරිතලේ තුන්වැනි සන්නද්ධ බුද්ධි බළකා කඳවුරේ රඳවා සිටි හිටපු එල්ටීටීඊ සාමාජිකයකු වන සුමතිපාල සුරේෂ් කුමාර් (මුරලි) විසින් එම කඳවුරේ සිටි හමුදා නිලධාරීන් හතර දෙනකු විවෘත අධිකරණයේදී හඳුනාගෙන තිබේ.
සාක්ෂිකරු අධිකරණය හමුවේ අනාවරණය කළ ප්රධාන කරුණු අතර,
රඳවා සිටි කාලසීමාවේ තමන් 2009 වසරේ සිට 2013 දක්වා කාලය තුළ ගිරිතලේ යුද හමුදා බුද්ධි බලකා කඳවුරේ රඳවා සිටි බව ඔහු සාක්ෂි දෙමින් පැහැදිලි කළේය.
එම රැඳවුම් කාලය තුළ පළමු චුදිතගේ සිට සිවුවැනි චුදිත දක්වා වූ පිරිස සහ තවත් පිරිසක් අදාළ කඳවුරේ සිටි බව ඔහු මීට පෙර අධිකරණයට සඳහන් කර තිබිණි.
කඳවුරේ රඳවා සිටි සමයේ හමුදා නිලධාරීන් තමාට දුරකතනයක් ලබා දී, ඔවුන් ලබාදෙන විශේෂ අංකවලට (විදෙස් රටවල සිටින පුද්ගලයන් ඇතුළුව) ඇමතුම් ගන්නා ලෙස උපදෙස් දුන් බව 'මුරලි' අධිකරණයේදී පවසා ඇත.
ඒ අනුව, 2010 ජනවාරි 24 වැනි දින ප්රගීත් එක්නැලිගොඩ වෙතද එම කඳවුරෙන් දුරකතන ඇමතුම් ලබාගත් බව ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කර තිබේ.
මාධ්යවේදී ප්රගීත් එක්නැලිගොඩ 2009 අගෝස්තු 27 වැනි දින පළමුවරට පැහැරගෙන ගොස් අතරමගදී මුදාහැර තිබූ අතර, අනතුරුව 2010 ජනවාරි 24 වැනි දින යළි පැහැරගෙන ගොස් අතුරුදන් කරනු ලැබීය. මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් චුදිතයන් 7 දෙනකුට එරෙහිව නීතිපතිවරයා විසින් හෝමාගම මහාධිකරණයේ අධිචෝදනා ගොනු කර ඇත. මීට අමතරව, 2010 ජනවාරි 24 වැනි දින සිදුවූ අතුරුදන් කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් කොළඹ ත්රිපුද්ගල මහාධිකරණයකද වෙනම නඩු විභාගයක් ක්රියාත්මක වෙමින් පවතී.
Crucial Identification from the Giritale Camp Witness
During the trial held in the Homagama High Court regarding the abduction and disappearance of journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda, Sumathipala Suresh Kumar (Murali), a former LTTE member who was detained at the 3rd Armoured Intelligence Corps camp in Giritale, has identified four military officers from that camp in open court.
Among the key facts revealed by the witness before the court:
Explaining during his testimony, he stated that he was detained at the Giritale Army Intelligence Corps camp during the period from 2009 to 2013.
He had previously mentioned to the court that during that detention period, individuals ranging from the first to the fourth accused, along with several others, were present at the said camp.
'Murali' told the court that while detained at the camp, military officers gave him a mobile phone and instructed him to make calls to specific numbers provided by them (including individuals in foreign countries).
Accordingly, he further noted that telephone calls were made to Prageeth Ekneligoda from that camp on January 24, 2010.
Journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda was first abducted on August 27, 2009, and released midway, and was subsequently abducted again and made to disappear on January 24, 2010. The Attorney General has filed indictments in the Homagama High Court against 7 accused individuals regarding this incident. Additionally, a separate trial is underway in a Colombo Three-Judge High Court concerning the disappearance that took place on January 24, 2010.
