Celebrating World Environment Day with purpose and action! 🌿

The Green Building Council of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects, hosted a meaningful Nature Walk and Knowledge Sharing Session at Diyasaru Park, Battaramulla.

Together, we explored the importance of biodiversity, sustainability, and collective action towards building a greener and more sustainable future for all. 🌏💚

The Green Building Council of Sri Lanka carried out the final site visit evaluation for obtaining the GREENSL® certification for the Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology Unit of the IAI – Institute of Allergology and Immunology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

This visit marked the final stage of the certification process, recognizing the facility’s commitment to sustainable healthcare and research infrastructure through the integration of energy-efficient systems, responsible laboratory waste management practices, efficient water and resource utilization, enhanced indoor environmental quality, and environmentally responsible design and construction strategies.

The facility has thoughtfully incorporated sustainability principles throughout its development, creating a healthier, safer, and more resource-efficient environment for medical research, education, and healthcare-related activities, while contributing towards a more sustainable built environment for the future.
