The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is one of the largest international Professional Institution comprised of Engineering & Technical related personals, having head quarters in UK and branches in 127 countries across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and South Asia including Sri Lanka. IET promotes the advancement of electrical, electronic, communication, manufacturing, IT and fa
cilitates the exchange of knowledge and ideas. It also provides broad range of services to members in continuous professional development. The IET-Young Professionals is under the patronage of the IET Main Committee of Sri Lanka, its members consists of undergraduates and young professionals in the field of Engineering and Technology. At present there are IET-YP chapters in the three Universities Moratuwa, Peradeniya and Ruhuna. IET Young Professionals Chapter of University of Moratuwa with the guidance of IET YP Sri Lanka Network annually organizes number of events ranging from video lectures to field visits for the benifit of its members and the student community as a whole.
