Menstruation is a normal part of life, yet millions still face stigma, misinformation, and barriers to managing their periods with dignity. Every day is an opportunity to challenge stigma, promote awareness, and ensure that menstrual health and hygiene are treated with the dignity and attention they deserve.
This initiative is supported by the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF), funded by Switzerland, Canada, and the European Union, and managed by GFA Consulting Group.

On this International Day of Action for Women’s Health, we think that women’s health and well-being are deeply connected to access to clean, safe, and sustainable energy.

Renewable energy is not only about power - it is about dignity, reduced household burdens, cleaner air, safer environments, and healthier lives for women and girls. A just energy transition must prioritize women’s needs, from healthcare facilities to households, ensuring no one is left behind.

Let’s advance both women’s health and renewable energy together for a healthier, greener, and more equitable future.

For many urban home-based workers in Asia, the home is not just a shelter – it’s a workplace too.

Yet, urban housing policies rarely take into account the dual function of a home for these workers. This gap between housing policy and the lived realities of home-based workers directly affects productivity, income, and dignity.

It’s time for inclusive urban planning that integrates more diverse zoning laws, access to basic amenities and sustainable relocation policies that do not cut off workers from markets, transport hubs, and suppliers.

Read this study to understand why the link between housing and livelihood can no longer be ignored: https://hnsa.org.in/resource/empowering-home-based-workers-india-strategies-and-solutions
