At 50, I Became a Mother to 50 Children - A Journey of Hope
At the age of 50, my life changed in a way I never expected—I became a mother to 50 children. These aren't children I gave birth to, but they are children I now love as my own. Each of them carries a story of hardship and suffering, and as I got to know them, I realized just how blessed my own life has been by comparison.
I never imagined that I would one day be called "Amma" by so many children. But as I learned about their dark pasts, I became deeply saddened by the state of our society. I questioned why I was shown this pain but left powerless to help. Yet, God gave me the strength and an opportunity to make a difference.
Despite being told it was too risky, I took a stand to care for these children. I faced opposition from a system that didn’t want to let me in—a system that benefited from their suffering. I fought hard, even when those who had the power to help me stayed silent. But I couldn’t walk away. My conscience wouldn’t allow it.
Against all odds, I won the battle to bring these children into my care. Though the road was difficult, filled with challenges from those who didn’t want to lose control, I persisted. I lost a few along the way, and that loss still haunts me, but I never gave up.
Now, I have the responsibility of caring for these 50 children. They carry with them a past that no child should endure, and I will do everything in my power to ensure they are safe, loved, and never hurt again.
On 13th October, I invite you to join me on this journey and be part of building a brighter future for my 50 children. Together, we can give them the hope and love they deserve.
