1952 වර්ෂයේ දී හිලරි සිල්වා මහතා විසින් විද්‍යාලයීය බාලදක්ෂ කාණ්ඩය ආරම්භ කර ඇත.මේ වන විට සිගිති අංශය,පෝතක අංශය,බාලදක්ෂ බාලක අංශය, බාලිකා අංශය,මානවක යන අංශ ඉතා හොදින් ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.දැනට බාලක අංශයේ ජනාධිපති බාලදක්ෂයන් 50ක් පමණ සිටින අතර බාලිකා අංශයේ පලමු ජනාධිපති බාලදක්ෂයන් දෙදෙනා 2015 වසරේ දී බිහිවිය.
