Consent.

Consent is not silence.
Consent is not fear.
Consent is not someone being too scared to say no.
Consent is not past relationships, marriage, clothing, or flirting.

Consent is clear. Voluntary. Enthusiastic. Ongoing.

This conversation is about changing that

If it’s not a clear yes, it’s not consent.

How many times have we heard it?
What was she wearing?
Why was she out so late?
Was she drinking?
Did she lead him on?

Ask better questions.

No one asks to be violated.
Not with a short dress.
Not with a loud laugh.
Not with a drink in hand.
Not by existing in a body someone else feels entitled to.

Sexual assault is not caused by clothing, confidence, or kindness.
It is caused by one thing: a person choosing to ignore consent.

Yet we interrogate survivors more than perpetrators.
As if violence can be excused by aesthetics.
As if “no” depends on how someone looks saying it.

Teach consent.
Teach accountability.
Stop teaching girls how not to get r***d, and start teaching boys not to r**e.
