A very new The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Unit has been launched for 80 trainee teachers of the Meerigama and Hapitigama National Colleges of Education. This is a proud moment as we open more doors for leadership, skills development, and youth empowerment.

This programme was made possible through the dedication of Gampaha District Coordinator, Mr. Daminda Adikari.
To make the event successful and colourful, special support was given by Mr. Ramanan Selvanathan, National Director of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Sri Lanka, Ms. Kumuduni Rajapaksha, Provincial Director of NYSC, and Mr. Neil Kathriachchi from NYSC.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Head of Hapitigama National College of Education and his wonderful team for their great support.

Wishing all the trainee teachers a bright and inspiring Award journey ahead!
