The Youth Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Kurunegala Branch was successfully conducted with the enthusiastic participation of branch youth volunteers. ❤️🙌

🌟 The event was graced by the presence of the Hon. Branch Chairman, Hon. Branch Secretary, Branch Chief Executive Officer, and Udara Ekanayake, Director of Sports of the North Western Provincial Council, as the guest speaker of the programme.

The gathering focused on strengthening youth leadership, volunteer engagement, humanitarian values, teamwork, and future action plans of the branch youth movement. 💪🌍

Today, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Kurunegala Branch proudly celebrated World Red Cross & Red Crescent Day 2026 with a meaningful ceremony and tree planting programme at .Maliyadewa Collge,Kurunegala 🌱

The event was graced by Hon. Branch Chairman Mr. P.B.M. Sirisena, the Principal of Maliyadeva College, the Branch Secretary, Branch Executive Officer, branch staff, teachers, volunteers, and school representatives.

Junior Red Cross members and students from Maliyadewa Girls College,Holly Family Convent College, Hisbulla National School, and several other schools in the Kurunegala area actively participated in the programme, showing their commitment to humanity, volunteerism, and environmental protection. 🌿❤️

The tree planting activity symbolized hope, unity, and responsibility towards building a greener and more compassionate future for the next generation.

As part of the ongoing humanitarian response to the Cyclone Ditwah situation, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Kurunegala Branch successfully conducted the 9th Medical Camp at the M.A.M Farm Center in the Paduwasnuwara West MOH area.

This medical camp aimed to support affected communities by providing essential healthcare services, addressing post-disaster health concerns, and ensuring the well-being of vulnerable families.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the health officials, volunteers, and all partners who contributed to the success of this activity.
