As we look back on the Lionistic Year 2025/26, we do so with immense pride and gratitude.

Across Sri Lanka, Lions stepped forward when communities needed us most. We served, rebuilt, empowered, educated, healed, and inspired. From disaster recovery and humanitarian relief to youth development, healthcare, environment, hunger alleviation, and leadership development, every project carried the same message: We Serve.

This video is more than a collection of activities. It is a tribute to every Lion, Leo, partner, donor, and volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart to make a difference and, the leaders to led the pack!

Together, we proved that service is not measured by the number of projects completed, but by the lives touched and the hope restored.

At the MD 306 Convention, we shared this video highlighting the impact of the MCAT Grant provided through LCIF following the devastating Ditwah Cyclone. While much has already been accomplished, our work is far from over.

Across affected communities, Lions of Sri Lanka continue to be on the ground, working alongside families as they rebuild homes, restore livelihoods, and regain hope for the future.

The theme song of International President 2007/2008, Mahendra Amarasuriya's year was more than just a slogan. It was a call to action. A challenge to every Lion to think differently, act boldly, and embrace change for the greater good.

And challenge he did.

From driving membership growth and strengthening administration, to championing one of the most significant milestones in our Association's historyโ€”the full inclusion of women as Lionsโ€”his leadership left an indelible mark on Lions International.

His vision extended far beyond his year in office. It encompassed the entire Lions world and helped shape a stronger, more inclusive and more progressive organisation.

Today, years later, his legacy continues to inspire. He remains a shining example of what a Lion should beโ€”leading with integrity, committed to service, flexible in the face of change, and always carrying the spark to leave things better than he found them.
