The Lions Club of Diyawannawa with the intention of harnessing the talent of the youth,formed the Leo Club of Diyawannawa with a group of young boys and girls mostly comprising of their children. On the 19th day in the month of December 2006, the Leo Club of Diyawannawa was started with twenty three Leos been inducted as charter members. Executives Committee Members 2017 /2018

The Lions Club of Gothatuwa DLeoz successtully completed the "Rali Vautuna Ath" project at Victoria Elders Home, Rajagiriya. We were honored to provide food and support to these wonderful elders.
A special thanks to our project chairperson, Lion , and all the dedicated members who made this initiative possible. Together, we can create a brighter future for our community.

Past Presidents Appreciation of The Lions Club of Gothatuwa DLeoz was held on 14 July at Sanora Mandira, Kiribathgoda. PDP Lion Gamini Kumarasinghe FDI MJF MAF JP was the honourable Chief Guest and PDP Lion Kusum Sandanayake PMJF PMAF JP was the Guest of Honour for this prestigious ceremony.

The Lions Club of Gothatuwa DLeoz recently carried out a heartwarming initiative to support a family residing in Kohilawatta. Recognizing the importance of proper vision for children's education and overall well-being, the club focused on helping the family obtain spectacles for their child. This project, driven by Lion Kanchuka Punarjith's leadership, took place on March 30th, 2024, at the family's home in Kohilawatta.

The initiative was a testament to the club's dedication to improving the lives of those in need in the community. By addressing the specific needs of this family, especially regarding their child's vision, the Lions Club aimed to make a tangible and positive impact.
